    Larry H. Miller, 73, of Jekyll Island, GA died Saturday, December 22, 2012, after a brief illness.
    Larry was born on June 23, 1939, in Sacramento, PA to Harry Wilson Miller and Mae Hepler Miller. He was retired from Lytle's Trucking Company in 2005, after which he moved to his second home on Jekyll Island. He was an avid hunter, a soloist with the Circuit Riders Christian music group in PA, and later enjoyed playing golf on Jekyll Island.
    He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Maureen Miller, of Jekyll Island, four children, Stephen L. Miller (Tammy), LaRee Hoffman (Robert), William Stankiewicz (Marlo), Megan Skelly (Michael); and four grandchildren, Joel Miller, D.J. Croutharmel, Sarah Hoffman, and Lexy Skelly, all of Pennsylvania.
    Memorial Services were held Friday, December 28 at the Jekyll Island United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Reincheld officiating, and the Rev. Mark Zeitlin offering some of Larry's favorite musical selections.
    Chapman Funeral Chapel & Crematory of Brunswick is in charge of the arrangements.

    He retired as a supervisor from Pennsylvania Gas and Water Co. in Sunbury; attended Leck Kill schools; enjoyed pinochle, quoits, gardening and raising plants; and was a member of Salem United Church of Christ Church, Pillow, and Pillow Fire Company.
    He was the widower of Blanche I. Starr Oxenrider. Surviving are a son, William E. of Herndon RR 2; a daughter, Florence I. Dockey of Pillow; four sisters, Eleanor Rebuck of Herndon RR 1, Elsie Waters of Gratz, Helen Schreffler of Rebuck and Nancy Wetzel of Williamstown; four brothers, James and Almond, both of Klingerstown RR 1, Mark of Herndon RR 1 and Carl of Dornsife RR 1; four grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
    Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RR 1. Burial will be in St. John's Reformed Cemetery, Leck Kill.
    Viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

    Louis E. Wood, 87, of Main Street, Hegins, passed away Friday at his home.
    Born in Tower City, Sept. 11, 1921, he was a son of the late Charles and Dora Pearson Wood.
    He was a retired machinist from the former TRW, Harrisburg.
    He was a member of Fearnot Assembly of God Church.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Maude Wood, 1993; two stepchildren, Glen Schwalm and Rebecca Clark; and a step-granddaughter.
    Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Ruby Schwalm Wood; a sister, Margaret Markovich, wife of Stephen; a niece, Rebecca Stover; two great-nieces, Kristina and Rachel Stover, all of Tower City; and two step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday from Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes Inc., Tower City, with the Rev. Steven Wise and the Rev. Robert Straub officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
