    KLINGERSTOWN - Carlos E. (Ike) Davis, 84, formerly of Klingerstown, died Thursday at the Susquehanna Lutheran Village at Millersburg where he was a resident since Sept. 25.
    Born in Lykens on Sept. 20, 1902, he was the son of late William and Priscilla (Klinger) Davis. Mr. Davis owned and operated the Davis Sunoco station and store at Klingerstown until his retirement in April 1968. After retiring, he lived in Florida, Ohio and Sunbury.
    He was of Protestant faith. He was preceeded in death by three brothers, Charles, Walter and Albert, and five sisters, Cora, Cathy and Phoebe Davis; Mrs. Eva Artz and Mrs. Emma Ingle.
    Mr. Davis is survived by two brothers, Belton, a resident at the Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg, and Harry A. of Klingerstown; and a sister, Mrs. Lola Artz of Valley View.
    The funeral will be corducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Klingerstown, by the Rev. Walter Hafer, pastor of the church.
    There will be no viewing. Contributions may be made to the Klingerstown Lutheram parish, Klingerstown.
    The Stephen Rothermel Funeral Home of Klingerstown RD1 is in charge of the arrangements.

    Lawrence E. "Larry" Davis, 89, of Lady Lake, FL, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2022. Larry was born May 19, 1933, in Dornsife, the son of Belton and Katie (Fetter) Davis. He graduated from Mahoney Joint High School and went to work supporting his family, often working more than one job at a time. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Larry and his wife Dollie, married for 72 wonderful years, loved country music and traveling across the country in their motor home. He was well read and loved telling stories. Larry is predeceased by his wife Dollie (Witmer), who passed on April 1, 2022, daughter Cynthia Mayberry, and brothers Leon Davis and Harold Davis. Larry is survived by his children Sandra Davis, Michael (Sherrine) Davis, Susan (Dennis) Rudisill, Christine (Mike) Gill, and Dennis (Mary) Davis. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, brothers Ray Davis and Guy Davis, and sister Anna Byerly. A memorial service for both Larry and Dollie will be held August 11, 2022, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 4700 Locust Lane, with the Reverend Randall G. Bennett, Jr., officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM with the service immediately following at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Shoops Cemetery.
