     Bruce M. Erdman was born on 20 January 1937, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.2 He was the son of Miles Monroe Erdman and Mabel Ellen Heim.1 Bruce M. Erdman died on 29 October 2011, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 74.2 He was buried on 3 November 2011, at Saint Michaels Lutheran Church Cemetery, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.2

Bruce M. Erdman, 74, of Klingerstown, died Saturday, Oct. 29 at home surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Eileen J. Bixler Erdman.
Born in Klingerstown, Jan. 22, 1937, he was a son of the late Miles and Mabel Heim Erdman.
He attended Hegins Township High School and was employed as a coal miner.
He most recently worked for Mercury Coal Co. and prior to that was employed at various local mines.
Bruce was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown, and was a member of Klingerstown Fire Company, of which he served as president in the 1970s.
He was an avid hunter before taking ill and also enjoyed watching football and bird watching.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Erdman, who died in April 1993; two sisters, Helen Kline and Gloria Carl; two brothers, Walter and Earl Erdman.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Kelly Heim and her husband, Terry, Klingerstown; three grandchildren, Shad Heim, State College, and Shawn Heim and Sherelle Heim, both of Klingerstown; two sisters, Lena Kissinger and Ruby Wiest, both of Millersburg; nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown, where the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jan Mills officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association , 3001 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011. Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown, has charge of the arrangements.

She was born in Klingerstown the daughter of the late Miles and Mabel Heim Erdman. She was a member of Paxton Bible Church. Surviving are her husband of 55 years Billy L. Services for Rahn A. Erdman, 79, of Brigantine, N.J., formerly of Upper Darby and Valley View, who died Thursday in Delaware County Memorial Hospital, Lansdowne, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. The Rev. H. Raymond Brooks will officiate. Interment will be in St. Andrew's UM Cemetery, Valley View. Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, RD1 Klingerstown, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Hepler, July 11, 1918, he was a son of the late John J. Erdman and Elura G. Starr Erdman. He was a 1936 graduate of Hegins Township High School.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He retired in 1978 as freight conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad after 37 years, traveling from Enola to Norristown.
He was a member of St. Andrew's UM Church and attended Salem United Church of Christ, RR1 Klingerstown. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and American Legion Post, both of Philadelphia.
His first wife, the former Jane Byers, died in 1968; his second wife, the former Helen Zvanya, died in 1972; a sister, Velma Klinger, died in 1992; a brother, Barto, died in 1979.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda J. Dickerson, Lansdowne; a son, Richard A., RR2 Hegins; a sister, Ella Artz, Valley View; a brother, Ellwood, Valley View.

Barto Starr Erdman, 57, of RD1 Hegins, died Sunday morning at Good Samaritan Hospital where he had been admitted at 4:30 Saturday afternoon.
Mr. Erdman, born June 29, 1921 at Klingerstown, was the son of the late John and Elura Starr Erdman. He graduated from Hegins Township High School. He was a veteran of World War II. Before retiring he had been employed for 30 years by the former Penn Central Railroad. He was a member of St.t Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View and sang in the Men's Chorus and Men's Choir of the church. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8235, American Legion Post 575. both of Valley View; and the Valley View Fire Company.
A son, Barto Jr. died in 1970. Surviving are his widow, the former Alice Morgan Jordan; two sons, Barry and Dennis both of Hegins; two stepsons, Samuel Jordan and Steven Jordan, both of Valley View; two brothers, Elwood, Valley View, and Rahn of Dalmatia; two sisters, Velma, wife of Alvin Klinger and Ella, wife of Delbert Artz, both of Valley View.
Services will be held Wednesday morning in St. Andrew's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Leland Keemer officiating assisted by the Rev James Haupt Jr., Muir. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Arthur R. Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View, has charge of arrangements.

Elwood Emery Erdman, age 97, of 201 Gap Street, Valley View, passed away Friday, October 23, 2009 at his home.
He was born on Tuesday, March 5, 1912 in Rough and Ready, a son of the late John J Erdman and the late Elura G (Starr) Erdman.
He was a 1932 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.
He served in the US Army in Panama.
He was a self employed coal miner and had also worked for Legal Coal Co, and Kocher Coal. He retired from the former Newport Homes, Pine Grove .
He was a former member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens, the Valley View Fire Company, and the Hegins Area Ambulance Assoc.
He was preceded in death by three brothers Stanley, Rahn, and Barto Erdman; and a sister Velma Klinger.
He is survived by his wife, Irene M Erdman, to whom he was married for 70 years.
He is also survived by two sons, Elwood E Erdman and his wife, Sharon of Hegins and Colin E Erdman of Spring Glen; two daughters, Alice M Deitrich and her husband, Clifford of Meriden, Conn. and Susan P Runkle and her husband, Robert of Spring Glen; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; a sister Ella Artz of Valley View; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Philip Sabas officiating.
Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.6
