Myrtle A. Herring, 95, of Hegins, passed away Wednesday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born in Gratz, Oct. 27, 1922, a daughter of the late Clarence and Alverta Knorr.
Myrtle was a seamstress in area garment factories prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins.
Her husband, Carl I. Herring, passed away in 2002.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Barry B. Herring; three brothers, Leroy, Robert and "Booper" Knorr; five sisters, Hilda Stutzman, Violet Knorr, Pearl Bruso, "Peg" Schneck and Betty Dupree.
She is survived by two sons, Larry W Herring and his wife, Susan, Valley View, and Dennis D. Herring, Valley View; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Dolly Klouser, Pitman; nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. Burial will be made in Friedens Cemetery Hegins. Memorial contributions can be made to VFW Post 8237, 125 W Main St., Valley View PA 17983. Condolences can be left for the family at www. buffingtonreed.com.
