     Barry Barto Herring was born on 12 March 1957, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA.1 He was the son of Barto Starr Erdman and Myrtle Arlene Knorr.2,1 Barry Barto Herring died on 26 July 1980, Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 23, as a result of injuries suffered in an auto accident on Route 25, east of Hegins, PA.1

Barry Barto Herring
Barry Barto Herring, 23, of 941 E. Main St., Hegins, died at 11 p.m., Saturday, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Route 25, east of Hegins.
He was born in Pottsville, March 12, 1957, a son of Mrs. Myrtle Herring, Hegins, and the late Barto Erdman. He was employed at Swatara Coal Co., Newtown.
A 1975 graduate of Tri-Valley High School, he was a member of Frieden's United Church of Christ, Hegins, and Hegins Fire Company.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Larry, Valley View, David, Hegins; two nephews; a niece; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Alverta Knorr, Hegins.
Services will be held Wednesday morning from Frieden's Church, Hegins. The Rev. Donald Wetzel of Hegins will officiate and interment will be in Frieden's Cemetery, Hegins. Arthur R. Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View, has charge of arrangements.
