     Velma Kathryn Erdman was born on 7 February 1923, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.2 She was the daughter of John Jasper Erdman and Elura Grace Starr.1 Velma Kathryn Erdman married Alvin Elias Klinger, son of Daniel Emanuel Klinger and Stella Mae Klinger, on 1 March 1941, St. Andrew's Church, Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA.1,3 Velma Kathryn Erdman died on 17 September 1992, Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Montour County, PA, at age 69.1,2,4 She was buried on 21 September 1992, at Saint Andrews United Methodist Church CemeterySaint Andrews United Methodist Church Cemetery, Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA.4,5

Velma K. Klinger, 69, of 1529 W. Main St., Valley View, died Thursday night, Sept. 17, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Bom in Klingerstown, Feb. 7, 1923, she was a daughter of the late John and Elura Starr Erdman.
Mrs. Klinger was employed by Elad Manufacturing Co., Valley View, before retiring.
She was a member of St. Andrew's UM Church and Tri-Valley Senior Citizens.
Surviving are her husband, Alvin; a son, Kenneth, West Grove; two daughters, Sandra Williard, Valley View, and Carolyn Buffington, Gratz; two brothers, Elwood Erdman, Valley View, and Rahn Erdman, New Jersey; a sister, Ella Artz, Valley View; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday from St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. The Rev. Floyd Sollenberger officiated. Interment was in SL Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.
Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.4

     John Jasper Erdman is also referred to as John C. Erdman in some sources.1 He was born on 30 December 1892, Upper Mahantango Township, Schuylkill County, PA.2,3,4 He was the son of Jacob Joseph Erdman and Christiana Klinger. John Jasper Erdman married Elura Grace Starr, daughter of Oscar Adam Starr and Elizabeth Sophronia Knorr. John Jasper Erdman died on 2 March 1937, Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA, at his home.4,5

John J. Erdman, 44, a resident of Valley View for the past ten years, died suddenly at his home.
He was born in Upper Mahantongo, Dec. 30, 1892, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Erdman.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Valley View and was also a member of the L O. O. F. of Valley View.
Surviving are his wife, Laura, and the following children: Elwood of Fort Hunter, Md; Rahn, Otto [Barto?], Velma and Ella at home. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Abriel [Abel?], of Shamokin; Myle [Miles], of Klingerstown; Leon [Leo], of Ashland, and Mrs. Walter Davis of Klingerstown.
His funeral will take place Saturday afternoon.

     Elura Grace Starr was born on 28 December 1894.2 She was the daughter of Oscar Adam Starr and Elizabeth Sophronia Knorr.2 Elura Grace Starr married John Jasper Erdman, son of Jacob Joseph Erdman and Christiana Klinger. Prior to her death, Elura was living in the vicinity of Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA.3 Elura Grace Starr died in December 1976.3

MILLERSBURG- Brenda L. Stahl, age 68, of Millersburg, passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2018, at her residence. She was born May 5, 1950 in Pottsville, PA the daughter of Donald Carl, Sr. who survives her of Spring Glen and the late Gloria Erdman Carl.
Brenda was retired from Capitol Blue Cross, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially going to her grandsons' sporting events.
Surviving in addition to her father are her husband of 49 years, Ronald Stahl, a son Ronald Stahl, Jr. and his wife Nikki of Halifax, two grandsons Noah and Ryan, and a brother Donald Carl, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Michigan, several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the convenience of the family.
