     Richard Lee Woodruff was born on 26 December 1942, Danville, Montour County, PA.1 He was the son of Lee Woodruff and Alice Campbell.1 Richard Lee Woodruff died on 2 August 2009, at home on Sharp Ridge Road, Mayberry Township, Montour County, PA, at age 66.1

DANVILLE - Richard Lee Woodruff, 66, of 307 Sharp Ridge Road, Mayberry Township, went to be with his Lord on Sunday morning, Aug. 2, 2009, at his home surrounded by his family.
Richard was a lifelong farmer, farming at the present location since 1971. He was born Dec. 26, 1942, in Danville, the son of the late Lee and Alice Campbell Woodruff. Richard married Betty Hoy on April 27, 1968.
He graduated from Danville High School in 1960. He was a member of both the Danville FFA and the Mayberry 4H Club where he had chicken, pig and wheat projects.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Mayberry Township where he served several terms on the church council.
Richard served on the Montour County Extension Board, the Montour County Soil Conservation Board, the Columbia-Montour Farm Service Agency, the nominating committee for Ag Choice Farm Credit Service, Committee Person for Montour County Republican Committee, and the Montour County Farm Bureau Legislative Membership and Policy Development Committees.
He enjoyed farming with his father and later with his two sons. Richard enjoyed going to flea markets and to cattle and equipment auctions. He also enjoyed Sunday drives and visiting family and friends. Richard enjoyed hunting and in later years, especially looked forward to stopping by Mark's Butcher Shop to socialize or to lend a hand. He was always ready to help a neighbor or a relative. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He really enjoyed trips to the cabin in New York.
Richard was also quite proud of his two sons' ability to restore tractors. They rebuilt and restored many antique Farmall and International Harvester tractors and, along with friends and other family members, entered them in shows and tractor pulls throughout the area. Richard enjoyed following the process from start to finish.
Richard was preceded in death by his brother Allen Woodruff in 2002, a nephew Andrew Bird in 1986 and a brother-in-law Thomas Hoy in 1968.
In addition to his wife of 41 years, he is survived by his three children: two sons, Dean Woodruff and his wife Debra and Michael Woodruff and his wife Karen, all of Danville; one daughter, Debra Shuman and her husband Richard of Mainville; his grandchildren, Lindsey McAnnaney and her husband Steven of Montandon, Jason Showers of Danville, Steven and Courtney Shuman of Mainville, and Kate and Hunter Woodruff of Danville; three sisters, Mary Alice Dumbauld and her husband Kenneth of Harrisburg, Norma Bird and her husband David of Catawissa, and Mildred Grose and her husband Gary of Liverpool; his sister-in-law, Mary Woodruff of Catawissa; and six nieces and eight nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Richard's life at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, 29 High Road, Mayberry Township, Danville, with the Rev. Christoph Teille officiating, assisted by Linda J. Bird. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the church and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to either the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund or Columbia-Montour Home Health and Hospice, 410 Glenn Ave., Suite 200, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.

William Harvey Schwalm

     William Harvey Schwalm is also referred to as William D. Schwalm in some sources.1 He was born on 26 January 1902, Muir, Schuylkill County, PA.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Daniel Harvey Schwalm and Mary Selara Alice Klinger. William Harvey Schwalm married Meda Mae Schwalm, daughter of Albert Peter Schwalm and Barbara A. Clark, on 9 March 1918, Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Erdman, Dauphin County, PA.5,6,7,8 At the time of the 1920 Census, William and his wife Meda were living in Hubley Township, Schuylkill County, PA, where William was a teamster at a coal mine. They had one child, Leon.9 In 1930, William and Meda were living in Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, where William was a farmer. Their household included 4 children: Leon, Helen, Annice, and William.7 William Harvey Schwalm died on 7 August 1980, Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 78.10,11,12

Services for William Harvey Schwalm, 78, of Valley View, who died Thursday evening at his home, will be held Monday morning from Arthur R. Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View. The Rev. Leland Keemer of Valley View will officiate and interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Erdman.
Mr. Schwalm was born in Reinerton, Jan. 26, 1902, a son of the late Harvey and Mary Klinger Schwalm. He was a coal miner.
He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Mrs. Annis Klouser of Hegins in 1979, and Mrs. Helen Hauck of Tower City earlier this year.
Surviving are his wife, the former Meda Schwalm; three sons, Leon, Valley View, Bruce, Leola, and William Jr., Hatboro; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Verna Schwalm, Mrs. Bessie Lubold, Mrs. Hilda Dalton and Mrs. Mabel Stutzman, all of Valley View.

     Harvey Charles Lubold was born on 4 January 1921, Bear Valley, Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, PA.2 He married Hilda Margaret Moyer, daughter of Samuel Stanford Moyer and Mabel Estella Bixler, circa 1942.3 Harvey Charles Lubold died on 29 May 2018, Kindred Place, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, PA, at age 97.3

Harvey C. Lubold, 97, of Kindred Place, Harrisburg, formerly of Valley View, passed away Tuesday at Kindred Place.
He was born on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 1921, in Hegins Township, a son of the late James G. and Bessie Schwalm Lubold.
He was a 1939 graduate of the former Hegins Township High School.
Harvey served in the Army during World War II.
He retired from Alcoa Aluminum, Cressona.
He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
Harvey enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and bowling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Harvey C. Lubold Jr; a brother, William Lubold; two sisters, Helen Smeltz and Eva Klinger.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda M. Moyer Lubold, to whom he was married for 76 years. He is also survived by two daughters, Linda M. Sariano and her husband, James, Mechanicsburg, and Audrey L. Gongloff and her husband, Dale, Annville; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Ludwig, Ashland; a brother, Melvin Lubold, Harrisburg; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, with the Rev. Duane Bardo officiating. A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.      Hilda Margaret Moyer was born on 18 March 1922, Hegins, Schuylkill County, PA.1 She was the daughter of Samuel Stanford Moyer and Mabel Estella Bixler. Her married name was Lubold. Hilda Margaret Moyer married Harvey Charles Lubold circa 1942.2 Some sources record that Hilda Margaret Moyer died on 3 January 1942.3 She died on 2 August 2019, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, PA, at age 97.1

Hilda M Lubold, age 97, formerly of Valley View, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Mechanicsburg.
She was born on Saturday, March 18, 1922, in Hegins, a daughter of the late Samuel S Moyer and the late Mabel E Bixler Moyer.
She was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.
Hilda was a seamstress for the former Philmark Mfg., Valley View, prior to her retirement. From 1975 to 1983 she owned a business at her home, Lubold's Sportswear.
She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
Hilda enjoyed quilting and sewing.
Her husband, Harvey C Lubold, passed away in 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by a son, Harvey C Lubold, Jr; and by two brothers, Herman Moyer and Marvin Moyer.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda M Sariano and her husband James of Mechanicsburg and Audrey L Gongloff and her husband Dale of Annville; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.
