     Daniel Harvey Schwalm was born on 25 February 1872, Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, PA.1 He was the son of Matilda Lucas. Daniel Harvey Schwalm married Mary Selara Alice Klinger, daughter of Emanuel Klinger and Christiana Schadel, circa 1893.2,3 Daniel Harvey Schwalm died on 9 April 1948, Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 76.1

DANIEL HARVEY SCHWALM
Daniel Harvey Schwalm, 76, lifelong resident of Hegins Valley, died at his home in Valley View Friday morning, after a lingering illness.
He was employed as a miner. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Klinger, the following children, Mrs. Thomas Radel, Williamstown; Mrs. James Lubold, William, Mrs. Clifford Schwalm. Mrs. Leroy Stutzman, Edward and Mrs. Lloyd Danton, all of Valley View; 27 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; two half sisters, Mrs. Emma Bixler, Hegins, and Mrs. Elizabeth Rhoades, Philadelphia.
Funeral from his late home on Tuesday afternoon with further services in the Evangelical-United Brethren Church, Valley View. Rev. H. M. Mentzer will officiate and burial will be made, in the United Brethren cemetery. A. R. Buffington is the funeral director.
