     Christiana Schadel was born on 19 July 1855, Hubley Township, Schuylkill County, PA.1 She was the daughter of George H. Schadel. Christiana Schadel married Emanuel Klinger on 17 May 1874, Hegins, Schuylkill County, PA. Christiana Schadel died on 25 November 1936, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA, at age 81.1 She was buried on 29 November 1936, at Zion (Klinger's) Church, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.1

     Mary Selara Alice Klinger was born on 21 September 1874, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.2 She was the daughter of Emanuel Klinger and Christiana Schadel. Her married name was Schwalm. Mary Selara Alice Klinger married Daniel Harvey Schwalm, son of Matilda Lucas, circa 1893.3,4 In 1900, Mary and her husband Harvey were living in "Reiner City," Porter Township, Schuylkill County, PA, where Harvey was a day laborer. They had been married 7 years and had given birth to 3 children, 2 of whom were then living. Their household included 2 daughters, Minnie and Bessie.3 At the time of the 1910 Census, Mary and her husband Harvey Schwalm were living in Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, PA, where Harvey was a stable boss at a coal mine. Mary and Harvey had been married 17 years and had given birth to 6 children, 5 of whom were then living. Their household included 5 children.4 In 1920, Mary and her husband Harvey were living in Upper Mahantongo Township, Schuylkill County, PA, where Harvey was a farmer. Their household included 6 of their children.5 In 1930, Mary and Harvey were living in Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, where Harvey worked in a coal mine. Their household included 4 of their children -- Elda, Mabel, Edward, and Hilda.6 Mary Selara Alice Klinger died on 6 February 1961, Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 86.7,2

Mrs. Mary A. Schwalmj age 86 years, widow of Harvey Schwalm, died at her home in Valley View on Monday.
She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Valley View,
She is survived by the following children: Edward Schwalm and Mrs. Minnie Radel, both of Williamstown; William H. Schwalm, Mrs. Leroy Stutzman, Mrs. James Lubold, Mrs. Lloyd Donton, and Mrs. Clifford Schwalm, all of Valley View; twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Fred of Tremont; James of Valley View Star Route; Eston, Klingerstown; Ira, Valley View, Alvin and Henry Klinger of Gratz; Mrs. Edwin Knorr, Gratz; Mrs. Clara Scheib, of Spring Glen; Mrs. Alta Scheib of Tower City.
Services will be held from the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Valley View, Thursday afternoon. The pastor, Rev. C. R. Swartz, will officiate and interment will be in the United Brethren Cemetery at Valley Vtew.
