    Kenneth G. Bixler, 93, formerly of Montrose Manor, passed away peacefully December 9, 2021 at Berkshire Commons in Exeter Township where he resided since 2019. Born in Valley View, PA he was the son of the late Ralph and Eva (K louser ) Bixler. He lost the love of his life June A. Bixler on July 15, 2021 to whom he was married for 70 years.
    Kenny worked at the Fort Indiantown Gap Military Reservation from 1945 to 1946. He then served his country in the US Navy as a Third-Class Radarman and Long Range Navigation Operator. During his time in the service, he received the World War II Victory Ribbon and the American Area Campaign Ribbon. Kenny retired after working 40+ years from Arrow International which was originally Textile Machine Works.
    H e is survived by his four children: Frederick, husband of Patricia (Germann) of Sinking Spring PA; Sherry, wife of Timothy Slichter of Marianna FL; James, husband of Debra (Steffy) of Mohnton PA; and Wendy, wife of Eric Seidel of Sinking Spring PA.
    He is further survived by his five grandchildren , Jesse Bixler, Kelly (Slichter) Bailey, Mitchel Myers, Hannah Seidel, and Cora Seidel as well as his 3 great grandchildren, Isabella, Lucas and Hunter. A sister Nancy Bechtel of Reading PA , and two nieces Cindy, wife of Bruce Kreisher and Diane, wife of Art Hoshauer also survive him.
    Professional Services are entrusted to Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. in Allentown. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sinking Spring, PA.
    The family wishes to greatly thank the staff at Berkshire Commons and Caring Hospice for their loving care of our father.2

    Richard D. Rumberger, Sr., 52, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday, September 8th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. Richard was born in Pottsville, on September 22, 1968, a son of Margaret (Kostishak) Rumberger and the late Robert Rumberger Sr. He was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven Area High School Class of 1987. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was employed as a Machine Operator in the plastics industry at Tredegar for 20 years. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an Uncle, Charles Rumberger and a niece, Sierra Gradwell. Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was an ardent fan of the New England Patriot’s football team He is survived by his fiancee’, Harriet Strouphauer, three sons, Richard D. Rumberger Jr., Andrew D. Rumberger and his companion Jen, and Seth C. Rumberger. Two daughters, Toriana A, Rumberger and her companion, Parrish , and Kristina L, wife of Matt Schwenk. He is also survived by three sisters, Margaret Gradwell, Carrie Brown, and Patricia Burns, two brothers, Robert Rumberger Jr. and Gary Rumberger. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren & 13 nieces and nephews. A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 14th at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc. in Minersville, with the Reverend Julian Milewski officiating. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service. Interment at Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to the American Red Cross https://www.redcross.org/donations. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.1
