    He was born on February 3, 1946 in Dalmatia, PA the son of [the late] Robert and Anna (Lenker) Kratzer.
    He was a retired cable technician and had worked for Comcast Communications.
    He was a United States Air Force veteran and served in Vietnam. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, farming and watching the Phillies play baseball. He was a member the the Pine Haven Hunting Camp in Tioga County, Millersburg VFW, Millersburg American Legion, and Lower Mahanoy Fire Co.
    He is survived by his wife of 47 years Judy E. (Kristan) Kratzer, Two sons, Jason (Stephanie) Kratzer, Palmyra, and Joshua Kratzer, Northumberland; 2 Grandchildren, Vanessa and Sierra Kratzer. Palmyra; Sister, Patsy Gwizdale, Blackstone, VA and 2 nephews and a niece.
    He was preceded in death, by an infant son, Robert Earl; Brother, Larry Kratzer and sister Rose Marie Kratzer.
    There will be a viewing held at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes Ltd, Millersburg on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 10-11 AM. Services will begin at 11 AM with Rev. Tom Moulfair officating. Following the services, burial with military honors will be held at St. Lukes UCC. Cemetery, Malta. .
    The family requests that memorial donations may be made to St. Lukes UCC Cemetery Fund.

    DUBOIS (AP) - The wrecked twin-engine plane that carried two eastern Pennsylvania men to their deaths in a snowstorm near this Jefferson County community has been found.
    Air rescue teams, state police and volunteer snowmobilers located the shattered craft Wednesday morning. The plane went down Tuesday night shortly after went down takeoff at the DuBois-Jefferson County Airport.
    State police identified the victims as pilot Donald Scheib, 25, of Sacramento in Schuylkill County, and passenger Terry Martensen, 28, of New Holland in Lancaster County.
    The blue-and-white Areo Star aircraft located about 11 a.m. after a massive was search in dense fog.
    The plane crashed about 8:30 p.m. Tues in a hard snow, authorities said.
    "They came pretty straight down," said Sgt. Ray Anderson of the state police barracks at DuBois.
    Both men were reportedly thrown from which broke up on impact in a wooded area.
    Anderson said Scheib and Martensen had apparently landed at the airport for refueling and a dinner. They were headed for Lancaster at the time of the accident.
