    Milan J. Kratzer
    Milan J. Kratzer, 80, of Paradise, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, September 26, 2016. He was the husband of Sandra (Shoop) Kratzer for over 57 years.
    He was a graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School and Susquehanna University. Milan was a High School German Teacher for 33 years in the Pequea Valley School District (PV).
    During his tenure at PV, he served as the school's athletic director, and was the high school baseball coach for many years. In 2003, he was inducted into the PV Athletic Hall of Fame. Milan also coached baseball, and Little League up through Legion Ball. Early in his career, Milan also contributed several summers to the Head Start Program for children in the Welsh Mountains.
    He was a member of St. Michael Evangelical Lutheran Church, Strasburg, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, lector and usher. Milan was a member of Paradise Township Lions Club and the Lancaster Liederkranz. Traveling was a big part of Milan's life. He enjoyed taking many school groups on trips to Europe, and went on to lead several adult groups on overseas tours. He and Sandy continued to travel until his death.
    Milan thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, but especially loved time with his grandchildren. He took great pleasure in supporting all of his grandchildren in their sporting events and extracurricular activities.
    Born in Hebe, Milan was the son of the late John and Freda (Hoffman) Kratzer. In addition to Sandy, he is survived by a son, Scott Kratzer; three daughters, Laurie Amway, Kelly Blantz, and Leslie married to Eugene Malcolm, all of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, and Ashley Amway, Matthew, and Mackenzie Malcolm and Dylan Blantz; a brother, Maynard married to Carole Kratzer of Millersburg, and two sisters, Dareene married to Frank Titus of Millersburg and Erla Kratzer of Arlington, VA.
    There will be a viewing on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 6 until 8 PM in the Bachman Funeral Home, 7 South Decatur Street, Strasburg, PA. There will also be a viewing on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 10 until 11 AM in St. Michael E.V. Lutheran Church, 40 E. Main Street, Strasburg, PA. The funeral is 11 AM in the church with The Reverend Robert Wegehoft officiating. Interment will follow in Paradise Mennonite Cemetery.3

    MILLERSBURG- Dareene E. Titus, age 77, of Light St. passed away on Thursday, June 7th, 2018 at Carolyn's Hospice House in Harrisburg.

    She was born in Hebe the daughter of the late John and Freda Hoffman Kratzer. She was a graduate of the former Mahanoy Joint High School where she played basketball. She was retired adminstrative secretar for the Upper Dauphin Area School District and also worked part time at the Ned Smith Center for Nature & Art. She and her husband Frank were co-owners of the Washington Hotel in Elizabethville.
    Dareene was a member of Trinity UCC in Millersburg and a former member of the Red Hat Society.
    Surviving are her husband of 57 years Frank Titus, a daughter Tamara Spicher of Millersburg, a son Frank Jr, (Linda) of Halifax; step daughter Donna Murphy (Girard) of Delaware, her grandchildren Kristen Spicher, Callie Spicher, Joshua Titus, Erin Fieser and Greg Fieser; two great grandchildren Riley and Mason Fieser; siblings Maynard Kratzer of Millersburg and Erla Kratzer of Arlington, VA; her step mother Arlene Kratzer of Dalmatia. She was preceded in death by a brother Milan Kratzer.
    The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am on Monday, June 11th at Trinity UCC in Millersburg. Memorial services will begin at 11 am.

    MILLERSBURG - Frank Lee Titus Sr., age 83, of Millersburg, passed away on April 22, 2020, at the Polk Personal Care Center in Millersburg. He was born on May 28, 1936 in Vienna, Virginia, son of the late John and Annie Titus. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Dareene Kratzer Titus, to whom he was married for 57 years. He was known as 'Pop' or 'Poppy' to his family.
    Frank was a veteran of the United States Army. He was the owner of the Washington Hotel in Elizabethville from 1970-1978. He retired as an auto salesman from A.W. Troutman in Millersburg. After retirement, he also worked part-time at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes in Millersburg. Frank was a member of Trinity UCC in Millersburg for many years, and more recently became a member of St. John's Lutheran Church (The Hill Church) in Berrysburg. He was a member of Susquehanna Lodge No. 364, Tall Cedars Forest No. 125, Cherry Run Camp in Weikert, PA, and the Union County Sportsman's Club. He was also an avid golfer, and a member of the Silver Stragglers League at Lykens Valley Golf Course.
    Most of all, Pop enjoyed spending time with his family and his many friends. Throughout his life he showed many acts of kindness and generosity to those he loved, especially in his later years.
    Frank is survived by his daughters Donna Murphy (Girard) of Delaware and Tamara Spicher of Millersburg; a son Frank Jr. (Linda) of Halifax; grandchildren Kristen Spicher (Seth), Callie Fenninger (Kyle), Joshua Titus, Erin Fieser and Greg Fieser (Lorin); two great grandchildren Riley Fieser and Mason Chin. He is also survived by his sister Betty Dumas of Cambridge, MD. In addition to his wife Dareene, Frank was preceded in death by his brother Jack Tituts.
    There will be a memorial service at St. John's Cemetery, Berrysburg at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 24, 2020. Masonic Rites and Military Honors will also be performed. CDC guidelines will be followed. Please bring along your own folding chair if needed. In lieu of flowers, they ask that donations be made to Trinity UCC in Millersburg, St. John's Lutheran Church in Berrysburg, or the Ned Smith Center in Millersburg.

    She was born on May 22, 1942 in Klingerstown, PA the daughter of the late Clinton and Daisy (Clark) Oxenrider. Carole was married to Maynard A. Kratzer for 60 years.
    She retired from MidPenn Bank, and prior to that worked worked at Puritan Fashions in Millersburg.
    Carole was an active member of Trinity UCC. She was also a member of Amaranth. She enjoyed helping out with the Church and donated to many charities.
    She was selfless and loved helping others. And also did it with a smile on her face. She was a loving dedicated grandmother to her grandchildren.
    In addition to her husband Maynard, she is survived by her daughter Sheri Stahl and her husband Ted of Hershey, and grandsons Marshal and Ryder Stahl of Hershey. She was preceded in death by her son Rickey John Kratzer.
    A memorial service will be held at Trinity UCC, Millersburg on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11:00 am with a graveside service following at Oak Hill Cemetery.

    ROMNEY, W.Va. -- Anna Arlene Kratzer, 73, of 234 Potomac Ave., formerly of Dalmatia, Pa., died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1995, at Hampshire Health Care Center.
    Born Jan. 12, 1922, in Dalmatia, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Beulah (Paul) Newton. Her husband, Robert E. Kratzer, died in August.
    Mrs. Kratzer was retired from Kinney Shoe Co., Romney.
    She is survived by two sons, Larry E. of Three Churches, W.Va., and Dennis of Dalmatia; one daughter, Patsy Ann Gwizdale of Romney; five grandchildren; two sisters, Luella Witmer of Dalmatia and Steena Smeltz of Mechanicsburg, Pa; one foster brother, Joseph Hepner of Middletown, Pa; and one foster sister, Doris Willier of Millersburg, Pa.
