  David L. Bowman Jr., 58, of Eau Claire, passed away Monday morning, July 22, 1996, at Luther Hospital i in Eau Claire.
  David was born Sept. 29, 1937, in Pittsburgh, Penn. He graduated from Allegheny High School in Pittsburgh in 1955. He married Carol Capenos of Sewickley, Penn., on July 19, 1957.
  He served in the U.S. Air Force Security Service Communications Intelligence from July 19, 1956, until July 19, 1960.
  He began his career in sales with Dravo Corporation in Neville Island, Penn., and worked in the HVAC field for 36 years in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nebraska, Texas and Wisconsin. At the time of his death he employed by Titan Air of Ossco, Wisconsin.
  David was a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers. He completed an air conditioning course at the University of Pittsburgh.
  Dave was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church and an active member of the congregation. He was a former member of the Elks in Pennsylvania and Nebraska. He was a member of Rockford Lodge #246, Michigan, and also Scottish Rite Valley of Grand Rapids, Mich., and a member of the Saladin Shrine of Kentwood, Mich.
  Survivors include his wife, Carol of Esu Claire: his three children, Colleen Biererstaff, David Bowman and Tammi Ferguson, all of Texas; six grandchildren, Heather Biggerstaff, Brenda, Brandi and David Bowman, and Angela and Brandon Ferguson.
  Dave was the son of Margaret Tabor Werner and her husband, Harry of Cannonsburgh, Penn., and David L. Bowman Sr. and his wife, Carmen of North Port, Fla.
  He was the brother of Donald Bowman of Wexford, Penn., Barbara Shigo of West Covina, Calif., and Kathy Vitullo of Oakdale, Penn., stepbrothers, Gerald Werner of Glenshaw, Penn., and Harry Werner Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.
  A public Masonic Service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at Trinity Lutheran Church followed by a memorial service with the Rev. Mary Jorgerson officiating.
