    Dr. Maude M. Maurer, 92, a chiropractor for 58 years in Schuylkill Haven, died at 9 p.m. Friday in York Terrace Nursing Home.
    Dr. Maurer, formerly of 9 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, was admitted to the nursing home in 1981.
    She was born in Pitman, a daughter of the late Felix and K. Elizabeth Wolfgang Deitrich.
    She entered Palmer Chiropractic College, Davenport, Iowa, in 1919 and graduated with honors in 1923. Her late husband. Dr. Allen Maurer, was also a 1923 graduate of Palmer College.
    The Pennsylvania Chiropractic Society honored Mrs. Maurer as the oldest practicing chiropractor in the state in 1980.
    She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Schuylkill Haven.
    Several years ago, the Order of the Eastern Star presented her with a 50 year membership pin.
    Her husband died in 1956.
    Surviving are nieces and nephews.
    Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday from Harold H. Geschwindt Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. The Rev. David Heil will officiate. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park.

    He was last employed as a lokie engineer at the Pioneer Tunnel, having retired two years ago.
    He was a member of Good Shepherd Chapel of Christ's United Lutheran Church, Ashland.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Martha Woomer, four sons, James C. Jr., Baltimore, Md; Allen, Rockwell. Md; Charles, Hackenstown, N.J; and Teddy, at home; two daughters, Betty, wife of Frank Farone, Pottsville; and Jean, wife of Marvin Weikle, Philadelphia; two sisters, Dr. Maude M. Maurer, Schuylkill Haven; and Mrs. Elizabeth Herring, Pitman. Nineteen grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren also survive.
    Funeral services will be held from the Kull Funeral Home, Ashland, on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Rev. Robert G. Hughes, pastor of Christ's United Lutheran Church, will officiate.

    DR. ALLEN MAURER
    Dr. Allen Maurer, 67, chiroprac tor of 9 E. Main street, died Thursday at 11:10 a.m. in his home. He had been in ill health with a heart condition for over a year.
    Born in Pitman, Dr. Maurer was a son of the late John and Mary Heckert Maurer.
    He and his wife, the former Maude Deitrich lived in Schuylkill Haven since the doctor's graduation from Palmer School of Chiropractics, Davenport, Iowa in 1923 He was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational church, Pennsylvania Chiropractic Associa tion. Paee Lodge F. and A. M Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the Haven club. He was the last member of his immediate family.
    Surviving are his wife and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral was held Monday afternoon from Bast and Detwiler funeral home. Burial was made in Schuylkill Memorial Park. The Rev. R. W. Kriebel, pastor of Grace church, officiated.

    Youth Dies From Lockjaw
    Raymond Dietrich, I8, son of Mr. and Mrs James Dietrich, of Baltimore, Md, resident of South Ashland until two weeks ago, died in the POttsville Hospital on Monday morning, of lockjaw, which developed following the extraction of teeth several weeks ago.
    The youth was born and reared in South Ashland, a son of James and Martha, nee Wormer Dietrich, and was a member or the senior Class of the Butler Township H. S. His father obtained work in Baltimore, Md, recently and the family moved two weeks ago. Because of the youth's illness, he entered the hospital for treatment and was to join them at Baltimore, following his recovery.
    He was presented with his class ring last week, while in the hospital.
    The youth was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Ashland.
    To survive besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Dietrich, there are three brothers. Clifford, Allen and Llndy, and two sisters, Betty and Jean of Baltimore.
    Dr. and Mrs. Allen Maurer, of Schuylkill Haven, are an uncle and aunt of the vouth.
    Kull's Funeral Home, Ashland, is completing the funeral arrangements.
