    The one thing that Sharon truly enjoyed was going out with the girls for Bingo.
    In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ray Bainbridge.
    Sharon is survived by her husband, Daniel Beury, and a son, Ben Bainbridge. She is also survived by her brothers, Butchy, Dave, Donald, Gary, Jimmy, Jacky and Bobby Bainbridge; nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Burial will follow on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.grabowskifuneralhome.com.

    Leroy G. "Butch" Bainbridge, 80, of Williamstown, passed away Friday night, January 19, 2024.
    Born in Pottsville, June 9, 1943, a son of the late Leroy and Catherine Heiser Bainbridge.
    Leroy was a United States Marine Corp veteran serving two tours in the Vietnam War. He proudly served in the marines for 24 years. Following retirement, he was employed as a corrections officer for 17 years at SCI Frackville.
    He was a member of the Williamstown American Legion.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Raymond, and Richard Bainbridge; a sister, Sharon Beury.
    Surviving are his wife, Marie Venszl Bainbridge; a daughter, Christina Ziegler,(Michael) Virginia; brothers, David Bainbridge (Colleen), Donald Bainbridge (Sharon), Gary Bainbridge and Jackie Bainbridge (Barbara); two grandchildren, Marissa and Christopher; numerous nieces and nephews.

    George Somers Dies After Shooting Bear
    George A. W. Somers. age 48, Bohrman's Mill, Sch. Haven RD1, was stricken ill of a heart attack and died yesterday at 9:30 a.m. after shooting a bear while hunt[ing] in Tioga County.
    Somers, who was hunting alone, left Sunday morning for the Wells-boro area where the family had a trailer camp. He had shot the bear which fell into a creek and was stricken ill when he attempted to get the bear from the water. Other hunters in the neighborhood hearing the shot came to the site and discovered Somers who complained of pains in the chest. He was taken to the hunters' cabin where he died a short time later.
    Although Somers suffered from high blood pressure he had no previous heart trouble.
    A native of North Manheim Township, he was the son of George and Freda Kolbe Somers. He resided at Bohrman's Mill for 20 years.
    Somers was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army and was a member of the Disabled War Veterans Marne Chapter 21, Tremont. He was employed by S. R. Bair Manufacturing Co. until a month ago.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Anna Mae Stutzman; three daughters and two stepdaughters: Frieda, Rosalie and Ann Marie, all at home: Dolores, wife of Dennis Seaman and Betty, wife of Alvin Miller, Orwigsburg; two grandchildren; three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Alice Rothner. Montebello. Calif.: Lydia, wife of Milton Stoyer, Leesport RD: Frances, wife of Lester Fisher, Orwigsburg: Clarence of Orwigsburg.
    Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from Bast and Detwiler Funeral Home. The Rev. William H. Marburger will officiate with burial in Schuylkill Memorial Park. There will be a
