    Mabel I Brown Rothermel of Dallastown died at noon yesterday at Memorial Hospital. She was 76.
    She was a sales representative for Stanley Home Products. She was a member of the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, Winterstown, and its adult Sunday school class.
    Born in Hebe, Northumberland County, she was the wife of Charles C Rothermel.
    She also leaves a son, Paul W. Rothermel, Dallastown; a daughter, Mary Ann Smith of Etters; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother, Samuel Brown, Gratz, Dauphin County; and a sister, Beulah Kissinger of Akron, Lancaster County. She was preceded in death by a daughter Naomi Lane.
    Viewing is scheduled for 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant View Church of the Brethren.
    The funeral is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Fred L. Shanaman, Jr., pastor, and the Rev. Richard L. McWilliams, retired pastor, officiating.
    Burial is to be in the Middle Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Ephrata, Lancaster County.

    Effie Arella (Weikel) Rothermel, 92, of the Landis Homes in Lititz died Saturday, March 24, 2007, in the home. She was formerly of Hummel-stown. She was the , widow of Wilson D. Rothermel who died June 16, 1990.
    She was bom in Gown City, Northumberland County, Pa., on February 3, 1915, to Herman and Elizabeth Kramer Weikel.
    She retired in 1977 from Hershey Chocolate Factory after 30 years working in the molding and Kiss departments. She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Palmyra. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, crocheting, quilting, cooking and writing encouraging notes to people.
    She is survived by her daughter Jean L. Gutshall and her husband Asa of Maytown; four granddaughters, Darlene and her husband Joseph Hoffman, Elizabethtown, Deborah and her husband James Keiper, Little Falls, N.Y., Diane and her husband Steven Kanode, Lawn, and Donna and her husband Phillip Buck-waiter, Lawn, Pa; nine great-grandchildren, Amy and Megan Hoffman, Jennifer and Melissa Keiper, Alicia and Joshua Kanode, Julie, Shawna and Caleb Buckwalter. She is preceded in death by her brothers Joseph, Clem, Norman, Clarence and Ammon Weikel; and a sister Katie Weikel.
    Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Saturday, March 31, 2007, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 40 W. Pine St., Palmyra, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 with the Rev. John Binkley officiating. Burial will be private in the Hanoverdale Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Landis Homes Caring Fund, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543 or to the charity of ones choice.
    Rothermel Funeral Home Inc. is entrusted with funeral arrangements.
