    Elaine Evelyn (Rothermel) Fox, 66, of Halifax passed away Tuesday October 12, 2021 at UPMC Harrisburg.
    Born April 29, 1955 in Ashland she was a daughter of the late Norman and Evelyn (Morgan) Rothermel. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Lawrence “Larry” Fox.
    She graduated from the Tri-Valley High School in 1973. Elaine was employed as a Postal Carrier in the Halifax area from 1986 until her retirement in 2013 due to a diagnosis of breast cancer.
    She was of the Protestant faith and attended Miller’s Church in Halifax.
    Elaine enjoyed entertaining at her home and pool, painting, quilting and loved going out to eat especially at seafood restaurants. She will be remembered for her pleasant personality and her love for her animals.
    Surviving are her husband Larry, 3 brothers, Gary (Carol) Rothermel, Dale (Kathleen) Rothermel, and Ray Rothermel; as well as nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Fred Everett Fox who passed away July 20, 1994.
    At the present time services will be private with interment in Zion E.C. Cemetery, Pitman. A public Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

    Lawrence “Larry” Fox, 66 of Halifax passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at UPMC Harrisburg.
    Born October 16, 1955 in Lykens he was a son of the late John Stone and Rose Marie Fox. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Elaine Evelyn (Rothermel) Fox on October 12, 2021 and his son Fred Everett Fox on July 20, 1994.
    He graduated from the Upper Dauphin High School and was employed as a steel worker for 40 years, working at Bethlehem Steel and Arcelor Mittal.
    Larry was of the Protestant faith and attended Miller’s Church in Halifax.
    He enjoyed hunting, fishing, painting, taxidermy and will be remembered for his willingness to help others with numerous home improvement projects.
    Surviving are 7 siblings, Barbara A Klouser, Francis (Bonnie) Fox, Debra (Phillip) Warner, his twin brother Lance Fox, Rose Fox (John Cole), Robert “Boo-Boo” (Lori) Fox and Diana Schimko as well as nieces and nephews.
    He was also preceded in death by a sister Joanne Roadcap and a brother John Fox.
    Viewing for Larry will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 9-11 AM at Zion E.C. Church, 247 Zion Church Road, Pitman, PA 17964. A Celebration of Life will be held for Larry and Elaine immediately following the viewing with Rev. Ray Hackett officiating. Interment will be in Zion E.C. Cemetery.

    She was born in Helfenstein, Nov. 14, 1909, a daughter of the late Arthur and Florence (Weikel) Zimmerman.
    Mrs. Engle lived in East Cameron Township all her life. In 1927, she married John Rothermel Engle.
    She was educated in East Cameron Township schools and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Gowen City.
    In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Paul Rothermel of Shamokin RD1 and Ray Rothermel and Allen Rothermel, both of Shamokin RD2; one daughter, Carol Shinskie of Shamokin RD2; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchudren; one stepgreat-grandchild; one brother, Chester Zimmerman of Sunbury; and one sister, Catherine Puceta of Shamokin.
    She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Kerstetter; a son, Norman; four sisters; and two brothers.
    The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert Foust Funeral Home, Trevorton, by the Rev. Walter L. Startzel. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Gowen City.
    Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

    Born in East Cameron Township July 15, 1930, she was the daughter of John and Iva Zimmerman Rothermel of Shamokin RD2. In 1949 she married Nevin Kerstetter, who survives.
    She was formerly employed by Springfield Sportswear of Shamokin.
    She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Church, Gowen City, and a past member of the church consistory.
    She also was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union of Shamokin.
    In addition to her parents and husband she is survived by a daughter, Cathy, at home; three brothers, Paul Rothermel of Shamokin RD1, Ray Rothermel of Gowen City and Allen Rothermel of Shamokin RD2; and one sister, Mrs. Russell Shinskie of Shamokin RD2.
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Robert Foust Funeral Home, Trevorton. The Rev. Robert Brown of Gowen City will officiate. Burial will be in in St. Paul's United Church of Christ Church cemetery, Gowen City.

    Services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Gowen City on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. David Byerly officiating.
    A viewing was held from 12 Noon- 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the church.
    Burial was made in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
