    Ralph Guy Bixler, 69, of 906 W. Maple St., Valley View, died from natural causes while hunting small game Wednesday morning on the farm of Richard Maurer, Valley View.
    Mr. Bixler was born Nov. 19, 1907 in Valley View and was the son of the late Oscar and Octavia Spotts Bixler. He had been a miner and for the last 10 years was steward at the Valley View Fire Company. He was an Army veteran of World Warr II having served in the European Theatre of Operations. He was of the Protestant faith. He was a charter member of the Valley iew Gun Club and a member of the Hegins Fire Company and Yellow Breeches Rod and Gun Club, Carlisle.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Mary Scheib; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Saltzer Sr., LaPorte, Texas; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Paul Troutman, Elizabethville ; two stepsons, John Scheib, Columbus, Ga., Lamar Scheib, at-home; one nephew, Joseph Salter, Lynchburg, Va.
    Services will be held Saturday morning from the Arthur R. Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View, with the Rev. Guy R. Grube, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley. View, officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery.

    Services for Lester Leroy Miller 67, of 1003 W. Maple St., Valley View, who died Friday night in Hershey Medical Center, will be held Tuesday morning from the Arthur R. Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View. The Rev. Guy Grube will officiate. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View.
    Mr. Miller was born at Lykens Oct. 29, 1911, a son of the late Elmer and Anna Shomper Miller. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View; the Valley View Fire Company and was a retired state employee.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Minerva Straub; three sons, Lester Jr., of York; James of Lititz and Larry, Elizabethyille; a daughter Anna, wife of Fred Meckey, RD Herndon; a brother Arthur Miller of Loyalton; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Hawk, Danville; Mrs. Florence Brookhouser, Highspire; eight grandchildren.3

    Carl H. "Pete" Huntzinger, 79, died Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of Norma J. (Keener) Huntzinger of Mount Wolf.
    Born June 17, 1925, in Hegins, Pa. he was the son of the late Henry and Meda Huntzinger.
    Mr. Huntzinger was a 1943 graduate of Milton Hershey School and was a veteran of W.W. II where he served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was retired from PennDOT.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Hilda Herb of Valley View, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
