    Ronald Bixler, 83, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2023 at the Hershey Medical Center. He was born Saturday, August 17, 1940 to the late Guy and Anna (Wiest) Bixler. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra (Rosensteel) Bixler.
    Ron was a graduate of Penn State University and went on to be a food scientist and started his career at Nabisco and continued at Klein Chocolate and went on to work 28 years at M&M Mars, Elizabethtown. He enjoyed taking trips to Manhattan with his wife, cooking for his family, and listening to jazz music. He was an avid trap shooter and loved to watch Penn State football and the Philadelphia Phillies. More than anything he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Jennifer Telesca and husband Keith and Matthew Bixler and wife Laura; grandchildren, Evelyn, Camryn, and Hudson Bixler and Marielle and Zachary Telesca; and sister, Darlene Shearer.
    A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 11 AM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM until the start of the service. Burial will be private at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.

    Shirley Gunderman Snyder, age 85, formerly of Elizabethville, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Friday, October 5, 2018 in Dillsburg.
    Shirley was born on Jan 2, 1933 in Elizabethville, daughter of the late Lena Gunderman Straw. She was a 1951 graduate of the former Elizabethville High School. She worked at Bell Telephone, MARS Footwear, and eventually retired as a nurse's aid in Home Healthcare. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Elizabethville. She was the widow of Ralph L. Snyder of Elizabethville. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
    Survivors include 3 daughters, Jill (Brian) Motter, Dillsburg, Lori (Miles) Kieffer, Carsonville and Tracy (David) Suder, New Cumberland; Grandchildren, Coryn Udzinski, Colby (Jilliesa) Kieffer , Brent (Dana) Kieffer , Alex Suder and Adam Suder; Great Grandchildren, Brandon Woods, Paisley Kieffer and Riley Kieffer. Shirley was preceded in death by a brother Jay Gunderman.
    There will be a viewing on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 10 am at the Salem United Church of Christ in Elizabethville. The funeral service will begin at 11 am with a fellowship luncheon in the Church social hall after the service. Burial will be at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Halifax, PA.
    In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Shirley's honor to Hospice of Central PA or The Salem United Church of Christ.2

    Nancy Marie Snyder (nee Troutman), 72, of Downingtown, passed away September 20, 2018.
    Born August 4, 1946 in Spring Glen, PA, she was a daughter of the late Marlin and Elda (nee Wolfgang) Troutman. She graduated in 1964 from Plymouth Whitemarsh H.S.
    Nancy worked as an office manager and bookkeeper at a local bank and a bus company. She worked in food preparation at Camp Innabah and elementary schools in Downingtown. Before retiring, she spent 10 years as a teacher aid at East Ward Elementary.
    Nancy was happiest entertaining friends and family at the Cabin along Penns Creek in the summer, holiday weekends, and Thanksgiving. She also enjoyed gardening, decorating, Kris Kringle Market, Sight and Sound, “Italian Rummy”, and spending time with her Grandkids and Grand Nieces and Nephews. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, (and shopping) trips to Canada and South Carolina.
    She was the beloved wife of Leonard D. Snyder; loving step-mother of Marjorie Felton, Jennifer Stinson (Troy), and Nathan Snyder (Kathryn); adoring grandmother of Amber Felton, Rebecca and Elliot Snyder, and John Yust; dear aunt of Greg Troutman (Kristi), Todd Troutman (Melinda), and John Troutman; and caring great aunt of Derek and Kaylina; Ruby, Rachel, Roxanne, and Charlie. She was predeceased by her brother, Gene Troutman, and sister-in-law, Karen.
    Family and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00 -11:00 AM, Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Salem U.C.C., 143 West Main St, Elizabethville, PA 17023, (717) 362-8221, followed by her Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery.
