    Mrs; Katie Welker, of 522 West Oak street, Frackville, a former resident of Lavelle, died at 11:30 p. m. Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Loueua Hadesty, of the Oak street address. She was aged 86 years.
    She was born December 25, 1868, at Lavelle, a daughter of the late John and Caroline Becker Paul. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Lavelle.
    Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Louella Hadesty, with whom she resided, four sons, John, Harry, and Charles Welker, of Lavelle, and Lester, Ashland R, D. 1; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown R. D. 1. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memorial Cemetery, Lavelle. Rev. Bernard Englehart, of Ashland, pastor of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Lavelle, will officiate. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home Friday evening.

    Surviving are two sons, Dennis Malarkey and his wife, Carol, Fountain Springs, and William Malarkey and his wife, Tish, Pottsville; a sister, Virginia Wetzel; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
    Private services and interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ashland Public Library. William F. McDonald Jr. Funeral Home, Girardville, has charge.

    Five Grandchildren: Erin, Shauna, Justin, Briona, and Jon. Four Great Grandchildren: Jacob, Aiden, Jadyn, and Jordan. And his best friend and dog, Scooter. He was preceded in death by a brother Gerald Wetzel. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
