    Arlene R. Rothermel, 90, Quincy, Mich.
    — QUINCY, Mich. — Arlene R. Rothermel, 90, of Quincy, formerly of Dalmatia, Pa., passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence, Battle Creek, Mich.
    Arlene was living with her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Jim Snyder for the past year. She lived most of her life in Herndon and Dalmatia area.
    She was born on Jan. 3, 1921, Jackson Township, a daughter of the late Elijah and Amelia (Lahr) Bohner. On Oct. 12, 1940, she married Paul Rothermel who preceded her in death in 1968.
    Darlene [Arlene] formerly worked at JB’S and Muskin Shoe factories, Millersburg, and was also a homemaker.
    She was a member of Peifers Evangelical Congregation Church, Mandata, Pa., and the Lower Northumberland County Senior Action Center.
    She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Jim Snyder, of Quincy; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bryant and Linda Rothermel, of Dornsife, Pa., Larry and Lucille Rothermel, of Selinsgrove, Pa., and Steve and Janet Rothermel, of Wentachee, Wash; one daughter-in-law, Connie Rothermel, of Dalmatia; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one sister, Mildred Broscious, of Evans, W.Va.
    She was preceded in death by one son, Carl Rothermel; four brothers and five sisters.
    A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Richard Sweppenhisser and the Rev. Randy Sizemore, officiating.
    Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Arlene’s memory to Peifers Evangelical Congregational Church, P.O. Box 387, Herndon, PA 17830.
