    Larry G. Rothermel, 67, Selinsgrove
    SELINSGROVE — Larry G. Rothermel, 67, of 2034 Route 204, passed away on Wednesday morning, Sept. 12, 2012, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
    He was born Aug. 29, 1945, in rural Herndon, a son of the late Paul and Arlene (Bohner) Rothermel. On April 15, 1967, he married the former Lucille B. Hummel, who survives.
    Larry was a 1964 graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School.
    He had been employed for 45 years at Weis Markets, working as a receiver in the warehouse.
    He attended Port Ann Wesleyan Church, Middleburg, and was a member of the Pennsylvania Trappers Association.
    Larry was an avid trapper, hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed local high school football and was a big Penn State fan.
    His five grandchildren were his biggest passion.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy L. and Timothy Walls, of Beavertown, and Michelle E. and John Zak- tansky, of Middleburg; five grandchildren, Austin and Blake Walls, Paige, Peito and Samantha Zaktansky; one sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Jim Snyder, of Quincy, Mich; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Bryant and Linda Rothermel, of Dornsife, Steve and Janet Rothermel, of East Wenatchee, Wash., and Connie Rothermel, of Dalma- tia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by one son, Edward L. Rothermel in 1987; and one brother, Carl Rothermel.
    Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Port Ann Wesleyan Church, Troxelville Road, Middleburg, with the Rev. Paul Sheets and the Rev. James Leininger of- ficiating.
    Burial will be in the Beavertown God’s Missionary Church Cemetery. Contributions to honor Larry’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.

    Lucille Betty Rothermel, 79, of 2034 Route 204, passed away early Friday morning, Aug. 13, 2022, at the Milton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
    She was born June 4, 1943, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late John and Bessie (Thomas) Hummel. On April 15, 1967, she married the late Larry G. Rothermel.
    Lucille was a 1961 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
    She had been employed for more than 30 years at Walnut Acres in the town of Penns Creek taking phone orders and developing relationships with countless people. She was a longtime member of Port Ann Wesleyan Church, Middleburg, serving in different roles, including with the children's church and vacation Bible school program. Lucille had a passion for crafting, quilting, sewing, gardening and bird-watching. She enjoyed putting together puzzles and especially spending time with her kids and grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known simply as Nana.
    Lucille is survived by two daughters, Cindy L. Walls, of Middleburg, and Michelle E. and John Zaktansky, of Selinsgrove; five grandchildren, Austin and Blake Walls, Paige, Peito and Samantha Zaktansky; and one sister, Martha Renninger.
    In addition to her husband Larry, Lucille was preceded in death by one son, Edward L. Rothermel, in 1987, and four sisters, Anna Deetz, Mabel Kuhns, Blanche Jordan and Gladys Renninger.
    Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Port Ann Wesleyan Church at 2856 Troxelville Road, Middleburg. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Port Ann Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Paul Sheets officiating.
    Burial will be in the Beavertown God's Missionary Church Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor Lucille's memory can be made to the youth and children's ministries at Port Ann Wesleyan Church.
    Arrangements are by the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.
