    DORNSIFE -- Arthur E. Troutman, 72, of Dornsife RD1 died at 1:40 a.m. today in Mountain View Manor, Trevorton Road.
    Mr. Troutman had been seriously ill for the past four and one-half weeks and had . been a patient in Sunbury Community Hospital. He entered Mountain View Manor March 6.
    Mr. Troutman was a retired farmer.
    He married the former Lena Reed, who survives, in 1924, and celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 16.
    Educated in Washington Township schools, he lived in the Dornsife RD area most of his life. He was a member of Himmel's United Church of Christ, Rebuck.
    Born in Washington Twp., May 31, 1901, he was a son of the late John and Emma Goodman Troutman.
    In addition to his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marlin Michael of Herndon RD, and Mrs. Donald Romberger of Millersburg; three sons, Deri, of Cleveland, O., Percy of Dornsife Star Route, and Earnest of Pillow; 13 grandchildren; one brother, James D. Troutman of Sunbury; two sisters, Mrs. Katie Campbell of Sunbury and Mrs. Tamie Smith of Dornsife; and one step-sister, Mrs. Melvin Boyer of Dornsife.
    The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Himmel's United Church of Christ, Rebuck.
    The Rev. Paul Billow will officiate. Burial will be in Himmel's Lutheran and United Church of Christ Cemetery, Rebuck.
    Friends may call at the Robert Foust Funeral Home, Trevorton, Thursday evening, and at the church on Friday from noon until the time of the service.

    DANVILLE - Anna M. Boyer, 92, of 646-A Bloom St., and formerly of Dornsife, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland, where she was a patient for the past month.
    She was born Feb. 5, 1917, in RR, Dornsife, a daughter of the late John and Hattie (Rebuck) Troutman. She was married on Dec. 25, 1935, to Melvin H. "Check" Boyer, who preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1995.
    She was educated in the Washington Township schools.
    Anna was a homemaker, who loved music and playing the piano and she also enjoyed cooking and gardening.
    She was a member of the Himmel's United Church of Christ Church, Rebuck, and a former member of the Herndon Area Senior Citizens.
    Surviving are two sons, Darwin L. Boyer of Lewisburg and Kenneth M. Boyer of Shamokin Dam; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
    In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis Boyer in 1940; one son, Raymond Boyer in 2005; one granddaughter, Judy Boyer in 1974; one brother, Samuel Irvin Troutman; four half brothers, Clarence, Arthur, James, and Roy Troutman; and three half sisters, Tamie Smith, Katie Campbell, and Florence Klock.
    A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Himmel's Church, Rebuck, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jane Compton officiating.
    Burial in Himmel's Cemetery, Rebuck.
    Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Himmel's Church Memorial Fund, 1941 Schwaben Creek Road, Rebuck, PA 17867.

    She retired from Muskin Shoe Co., Millersburg; also worked in agriculture; attended Raker School, Little Mahanoy Twp; a member of Himmel's Lutheran Church, Rebuck, its Women of the Church and the Herndon Senior Action Center; and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and gardening.
    She was the widow of Arthur E. Troutman. Surviving are three sons, Derl of Cambridge, Ohio, Percy of Dornsife RR and Earnest of Pillow; two daughters, Elizabeth Michael of Herndon RR and Thelma Romberger of Millersburg; 12 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in her church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday in the church.
    Foust Funeral Home, Trevorton, is handling arrangements.
