    Carl M. Lenker, 89, Herndon
    HERNDON -- Carl Monroe Lenker, 89, went to be with his Lord at 9 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005, in the Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg. He had' been in failing health since September 1999.
    He was born Nov. 20, 1915, in Northumberland County ( a son of the late Howard and Mary (Carl) Lenker.
    Carl was a quiet, generous and happy man who always had a smile on his face.
    He attended Wesleyan Emmanuel Church, Gratz.
    Carl enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed traveling to Florida in the wintertime.
    He was a farmer and a welder. He was employed by Meckley's Limestone Quarry for 45 years.
    Surviving are his wife of 66 years, the former Mildred Renn; two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond C. and Florence Lenker of RR2 Herndon and Allen C. and Joy Lenker of Thonotosassa, Fla; five grandchildren, Michael and Donna Lenker of RR2 Herndon, Corey and Tracy Lenker of Herndon, Robin : and D wight Bucharion, Samuel and Sherri Lenker, and Robert Lenker, all of Florida; eight great-grandchildren, Sam, Dillion, Dalton, Chloe and Michael of Florida and Garry, Jonathon and Aubrey of Herndon; one brother, Paul Lenker; and two sisters, Mary of California and Catherine of Florida.
    He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and John; and one sister, Martha.
    Friends will be reqeived from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Gratz, where the funeral will follow at 11 with the Rev. Jonathan A. Heath officiating.
    Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
    Funeral arrangements were made by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
