  • Ruth A. Klinger was born on 12 March 1935, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA.2,3
  • She was the daughter of Gurney Allen Klinger and Gertrude Mabel Troutman.1
  • Ruth A. Klinger married Alfred Kuehn, son of Walter Kuehn and Hedwig Dick.
  • The Journal of the Johannes Schwalm Historical Association, vol. 1., no. 1, p. 11, contains an unclear listing for the children of Ruth and Alfred. In the original edition of the book, two children were listed for Ruth and Alfred -- Karen and Sharon, along with several children who were adopted -- Paul, Elaine, Joan, and "child." The listing makes it appear as though these adopted children were children of Karen, although that point was not entirely clear. In the later Journal listing, the adopted children, apparently as children of Ruth and Alfred, are listed under the names Paul, Elayne, Janet, and Beverly, and after the listing for "Cheryl," as a child of both Ruth and Alfred, the listing contains a parenthetical notation: "(not Karen, Sharon)." Apparently, this suggests that Karen and Sharon were to be omitted altogether from the listings for Ruth and Alfred's children, although that is unclear. There is also a listing for a child named "Christopher," but it is unclear whether that listing was intended as a listing for Ruth and Alfred or for Ruth's cousin Kenneth Troutman.4,5
