    MILLERSBURG- Billy L. Wiest, Sr., age 83, a resident at the Manor @ Susquehanna Villlage passed away on Friday, November 27th, 2015.
    He was born in Klingerstown, PA the son of the late William and Maude Klinger Wiest. He was a graduate of the former Hubley Twp. High School and was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War serving in the Infantry HARB C. AFT 1065 M.O. He was retired owner of the former Rendezvous Bar in Paxton. He was a member of the Paxton Bible Church and VFW #5507. He was the widower of Ruby Erdman Wiest and also preceded in death by a daughter Ginny Stence and siblings Tillie, Charles, Harry, Johnny, Shirley and Daisy. Surviving are three daughters Debra Hilbert, Connie Stoneroad and Yvette Van Zandt all of Millersburg; two sons Billy Wiest, Jr. and Michael Wiest both Lykens; a brother James Wiest of Lykens; 11 Grandchildren; 8 Great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, December 3rd at the Paxton Bible Church. Memorial services will begin at 8 pm.     Preceding him in death, in addition to his wife, were one daughter, Cindy; two brothers, Charles and Johny Wiest; and three sisters, Daisy Miller, Tillie Willerd, and Shirley Wiest.
    Visitors may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Market and Chestnut streets, Pillow, where a religious service will be conducted, at 11 a.m. by the Rev, Bud Rutherford.

    He was a 1951 graduate of the former Hubley Township High School.
    James was married to Marlene (Enterline) Wiest for 63 years.
    He retired as a steel worker after 30+ years of service with Bethlehem Steel, he also worked part time as a butcher and a painter.
    James served in the US Army.
    He was a member of Lykens U.M. Church, the Liberty Hose Company No. 2, Lykens, and a volunteer ambulance driver and firefighter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the Lykens Concerts in the Park, and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies & Eagles fan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
    He is survived by his daughters Kim Wiest, Karen May and her husband Ken, Kelly Scheib and her husband Tim, grandchildren Justin, Jennifer, Lauren, Andrew, Samuel, Ryan and Abigail, great grandchildren Lillian, Abram, Sloane and Kennedy.
    He was preceded in death by brothers Harry, Bill, Charlie, and sisters Tillie Williard, Daisy Miller, Shirley Wiest.
    The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Sept. 22nd at Lykens United Methodist Church from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
    The family requests that memorial donations may be made to benefit the Lykens Concerts in the Park made to Lykens Community Development Corporation, Inc., PO Box 202, Lykens, PA 17048.
