     Robert Elmer Artz was born on 24 February 1925, Spring Glen, Schuylkill County, PA.3,2 He married Helen E. Williams, daughter of Earl E. Williams and Anna Elizabeth Zartman. Robert Elmer Artz died on 29 September 2007, HealthSouth, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, PA, at age 82.3
An obituary in the Harrisburg Patriot News stated:
Robert E. Artz, 82, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of West Reading, died September 29, 2007, in HealthSouth, Mechanicsburg where he had been a patient for two days.
His wife, Helen E. (Williams) Artz, died March 30, 2002. Born in Spring Glen, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Paul M. and Faye (Carl) Artz.
Artz and his wife owned Artz Restaurant, Spring Glen, and he was a partner in the Midland Theater, Valley View. He was employed for 23 years at a funeral home in the Reading area and in New Cumberland for 4 1/2 years, retiring in 1985.
A member of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading, he attended Lycoming College, Williamsport, and was a 1958 graduate of Simmons School of Mortuary Science, Syracuse, NY.
Surviving are a son, Kim W. Artz, fiance of JoAnn Temple; a brother, Charles Artz of Lebanon; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Arlene (Artz) Reed in 2005, and a son, Richard Artz in May 1998.
Services will be held Friday at Noon in the Auman Funeral Homes, Reiffton. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service.
The family requests contributions be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, 336 Franklin Street, West Reading, PA 19611.

Richard R. "Dick" Artz, 52, of Easton, died suddenly Saturday in Easton Hospital.
Born in Pottsville, May 4, 1946, he was a son of Robert and Helen Williams Artz, Mechanicsburg. He was a graduate of Reading High School and Rhode Island Radio Electronic School.
He served with the Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was employed as a technical sales manager for Lucent Technologies, Basking Ridge, N.J., where he worked for 28 years. He was co-owner of A to Z Pellet Stoves, Easton.
He was a member of Arndt's Lutheran Church, Easton, and its church council. He was a former Boy Scout leader.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, the former Suzanne M. Bush, to whom he was married eight years; a daughter, Jamey Artz, West Lawn; three stepdaughters, Tammy Hoff and Gwyn Forster, both of Reading, and Jill Forster, at home; a brother, Kim, West Reading; a maternal grandmother, Anna Williams, Valley View; paternal grandmother, Faye Artz, Spring Glen; a granddaughter.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from Strunk Funeral Home Inc., Easton. Interment will be in Northhampton Memorial Shrine, Easton.

Catherine Sarah Erdman married Daniel Abel Rambo, son of William J. Rambo and Minnie C. Hendrichs. Catherine Sarah Erdman married Steward S. Long on 31 August 1929, Lehigh County, PA.2,3 Her married name was Long.2 Catherine Sarah Erdman died on 3 July 1950, Allentown Hospital, Allentown, Lehigh County, PA, at age 61.4,2

Mrs. Catherine Erdman Long, of 614 North Poplar street, Allentown, native of the Herndon area, died at 11:50 p. m. Monday in Allentown Hospital where she had been a patient since last August. She had been in failing, health five years. She was 60 years of age and had lived in Allentown for 21 years.
Mrs. Long was born in the Herndon area the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Erdman. She was a member of the Daughters of America of Herndon. She was a member of Seibert's Evangelical Congregational Church, and the Servo Bible Class of that church, both of Allentown.
Surviving are her husband, Stewart S. Long; three sons by a previous marriage, Stephen and Wilbur Rambo, both Allentown, and Roy A. Rambo, Raubsville; five stepchildren; Mrs. Pauline Roth, Kathryn Long, Raymond, Luther Long, and Mrs. Evelyn Kistler, all of Allentown; six sisters, Mrs. Isaac Byerly, Northumberland; Martha, wife of Dan Klock, Dornsife R; D; Grace, wife of Herbert Lanig, Highspire; Mrs. Sadie Koh- ler Anna, wife of Harry Bucher, and Mary, wife of William Latshaw, all Dornsife; a brother, Walter Erdman, Herndon. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren. A son, Guy Rambo, a sister, Mrs. Vesta Zartman, and a brother Mason Erdman, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p. m: Thursday at the J. S. Burkholder funeral home, 1601 Hamilton street, Allentown, with Rev. H. H. Scanlin officiating. Viewing will be held Thursday afternoon. The body will be shipped to Herndon, where another service will be held at 1 p. m. Friday at Seibert's Evangelical Congregational Church. Rev. H. D. Smethers, pastor of the church will officiate, assisted by Rev. Scanlin. Burial will be in Herndon cemetery.

Wilbur D. Rambo, 92, formerly of Haycock Twp. died Friday, January 9, 2015 at Phoebe Richland Health Care, Richlandtown. He is the husband of the late Dorothy Louise (Stephens) Rambo (died Sept. 27, 2006). He was born in Herndon on October 6, 1922 to the late Daniel Rambo & Catharine (Erdman) Long. Wilbur served our country faithfully in the US Navy during World War II. He had worked at the former Bethlehem Steel as a carpenter for 34 years until retiring in 1984. Some sources suggest that Tamie Ubella Erdman and Isaac Theodore Byerly were married in August 1922, but this date appears to be incorrect, as Isaac and Tamie were listed as married at the time of the 1920 Census for Jackson Township, Northumberland County, PA.1,2,3 Tamie Ubella Erdman married Isaac Theodore Byerly, son of Jonathan M. Byerly and Louisa C. Emmerick, in August 1912.4,5 Her married name was Byerly.1 Tamie Ubella Erdman lived in W. Market Street, Trevorton, Zerbe Township, Northumberland County, PA.2
