     Quincy A. Erdman was born on 14 April 1887. He was the son of Daniel Erdman and Sevilla Elizabeth Schwalm. Quincy A. Erdman died on 1 June 1893, at age 6. He was buried at Zion (Klinger's) Church, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.

     Vesta Idella Erdman was born on 1 June 1886, Upper Mahantongo Township, Schuylkill County, PA.¹ She was the daughter of Daniel Erdman and Sevilla Elizabeth Schwalm. Vesta Idella Erdman was baptized on 1 August 1886; Sponsors were Frederick S. Schwalm and his wife Sarah Rubendall Schwalm.² Some sources record that Vesta Idella Erdman was born on 1 June 1885. Her married name was Zartman.³ She married Jay Claude Zartman, son of Samuel D. Zartman and Elizabeth Ann Rebuck, on 7 April 1906, Northumberland County, PA.^3,4 Vesta Idella Erdman died on 11 March 1935, Washington Township, Northumberland County, PA, at age 48.^3,5 She was buried on 15 March 1935, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Red Cross, Northumberland County, PA.^3,5

     Jay Claude Zartman was born on 10 December 1883.² He was the son of Samuel D. Zartman and Elizabeth Ann Rebuck.¹ Jay Claude Zartman married Vesta Idella Erdman, daughter of Daniel Erdman and Sevilla Elizabeth Schwalm, on 7 April 1906, Northumberland County, PA.^2,1 Jay Claude Zartman died on 5 October 1969, at age 85.^3,2 He was buried at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Red Cross, Northumberland County, PA.²

     Daniel Samuel Zartman was born on 19 August 1907, Washington Township, Northumberland County, PA.¹ He was the son of Jay Claude Zartman and Vesta Idella Erdman. Daniel Samuel Zartman married Mabel Anna Barbara Smeltz, daughter of Jacob Henry Smeltz and Minnie Sarah Keifer. Daniel Samuel Zartman died on 4 July 1969, Herndon, Northumberland County, PA, at age 61.^2,3

Daniel S. Zartman, 61, Herndon, died Friday afternoon . en route to Sunbupy Community Hospital. Mr. Zartman had been in fairly good health until the time of his attack at his home yesterday. Time of death was about 12:30 p.m.
He had just returned home Thursday evening from a two week motor trip. A son of Jay C. Zartman, Red Cross, and the late Vesta Erdman Zartman, he was born at Dornsife RD, Aug. 19, 1907.
A resident of Herndon for four years, he formerly resided at Red Cross. He was a member of Mahanoy Lodge IOOF Herndon Lodge F&AM 702, Harrisburg Consistory, and St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross.
Survivors include his father; his widow, the former Mabel Smeltz; one son and two daughters. Gene, Sunbury RD1; Ellen wife of Elbert Lenker, Wilmington, Del; and Oleta, wife of G. Edward Shissler, Stillwater, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; two brothers, J. Fred Zartman and Clarence W. Zartman, both of Herndon; three sistersr, Mrs. Earl Williams, Valley View; Mrs. Clarence Snyder, Klingerstown; Mrs. Mary Barnhart, of Millersburg.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Rothermel funeral home, Herndon. The Rev. Irvin Straw, his pas tor, will officiate. Burial will be made in Red-Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday evening.
Members of Mahanoy Lodge IOOF will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Monday at 8 p.m. They will also serve as pallbearers.

     Mabel Anna Barbara Smeltz was born on 27 August 1907, Red Cross, Northumberland County, PA.^1,3,4 She was the daughter of Jacob Henry Smeltz and Minnie Sarah Keifer.² Mabel Anna Barbara Smeltz married Daniel Samuel Zartman, son of Jay Claude Zartman and Vesta Idella Erdman. Her married name was Zartman. Mabel Anna Barbara Smeltz died on 4 November 1990, Community Hospital, Sunbury, Northumberland County, PA, at age 83.^3,4

HERNDON Mabel A Zartman, 83, Herndon RD2, died at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 1990, at Sunbury Community Hospital. She had been in ill health for the past year. She entered the hospital Oct. 14.
Born in Red Cross, Aug. 27, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Minnie (Keifer) Smeltz. In 1931, she married Daniel S. Zartman, who died in 1969.
She had been a resident of the Herndon area since 1962 and previously Jived in Red Cross.
Mrs. Zartman was educated in Washington Township schools. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross, and Idella Rebekah Lodge No. 58, Dornsife.
She is survived by one son, Gene of Selinsgrove; two daughters, Oleta Calvert of Tulsa, Okla., and Ellen Lenker of Wilmington, Del; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd Smeltz and Richard Smeltz, both of Herndoh RD and Andrew Smeltz of Washington; and a companion, Earl Oxenrider of Herndon RD2.
A son, Carl, died in 1936.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's , Lutheran Church, Red Cross, by the Rev. Glen B. Keidel. Burial will be in tltechurch cemetery.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m, Tuesday at the church, where Idella Rebekah Lodge No, 58 will hold a service at 7:30.

     Delbert E. Lenker was born on 18 February 1934, Dalmatia RD, Northumberland County, PA.^3,4 He was the son of Stanley C. Lenker and Susan ELizabeth Phillips.^1,2 Delbert E. Lenker died on 12 June 2021, Christiana Hospital, Wilmington, New Castle County, DE, at age 87.⁴

Wilmington- Delbert E. Lenker, 87, passed away surrounded by family in the early hours of Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Christiana Hospital.
Delbert was born on February 18, 1934, in Dalmatia RD Pennsylvania. He was the son of Stanley and Susan (Phillips) Lenker. He graduated from Mahanoy Joint High School in Dalmatia, PA in 1952. Delbert was a veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to his service in the Air Force, he owned a farm until 1966, at which time he joined Dupont, retiring in 1991. Delbert was a lifelong member of the American Legion and an active member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church for over 55 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling across the United States, and tinkering with multiple home projects.
Delbert is survived by his loving wife, Ellen (Zartman) of 68 years. He will be deeply missed by his wife and their three sons, Bryan, Dwayne, and Dale (Andrea), and four grandchildren, Dan, Andrew, Kelly, and Kerri. He is survived by his brother, Stuart (Lois) Lenker, brother-in-law, Gene (Charlotte) Zartman, sisters-in-law, Oleta (Dan) Calvert, Deb Lenker, and many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by an infant daughter, his parents, his wife's parents, Daniel and Mabel Zartman, his sister Marjorie (Bill) Snyder, and brother John Lenker.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, June 19th at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 5320 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808, where a service will follow. A burial will be at Stone Valley Church, in Hickory Corners, Pennsylvania, Friday, June 25th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Philip's Lutheran Church Building Fund.
