  SUNBURY -- Barbara A. Shissler, 80, of Sunbury, passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, in the Sunbury Health & Rehabilitation Center, Sunbury.
  She was born May 17, 1934, in Wiconisco, a daughter of the late George and Eva Ritzel. She was married to LeRoy Shissler who preceded her in death in 2009.
  Barbara was a member of the Mountain Presbyterian Church, Augustaville.
  She is survived by two children, one daughter and sonin-law, Jackie M. and Charles Parker, of Mechanicsburg; one son and daughter-in-law, LeRoy E. and Hope Shissler, of Dornsife; two grandchildren, LeRoy L. Shissler, of Massachusetts, and Ryan Shissler, of Dornsife; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jane; three brothers, Marlin, Elwood and Dean; and one sister, Betty Enders.
  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Mountain Presbyterian Church, Augustaville. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

  Elwood L. Ritzel, 70, of 5290 Beagle Road, Elizabethtown, and formerly of Wiconisco, Dauphin County, died Friday at Hershey Medical Center after a two-year illness.
  He was the husband of Deloyce J. Long Ritzel. They celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary in June.
  Born in Wiconisco, he was the son of the late George W. and Eva Klinger Ritzel.
  He attended Grace Chapel, Elizabethtown. During World War II and the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army as a private first class.
  He had been employed as a supply man in the warehouse at the former Olmstead Air Force Base in Middletown. He also worked as a security guard at Three Mile Island and as a house detective at Hotel Hershey.
  In 1982, he retired from Penn State Capital Campus, where he was a house man for 15 years.
  In addition to having an interest in dolls and writing, Ritzel enjoyed animals and collecting antiques.
  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David L., husband of Margaret J. Ritzel, Elizabethtown, and Ricky L. Ritzel, Campbelltown; and a daughter, Eva C., wife of David C. Hack, Elizabethtown.
  He is also survived by two brothers, Marlin, Harrisburg, and Dean, Wiconisco; two sisters, Betty, wife of Robert Enders, Wiconisco, and Barbara, wife of Leroy Shissler, Sunbury; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Along with his wife, Ritzel had been raising a granddaughter, Sara A. Ritzel.

  Marlin B. Ritzel, 81, of Harrisburg, died Wednesday, December 31, 2003 in the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, PA. He re sided at the Jewish Home of the Greater Harrisburg Area.
  He was born January 9, 1922 in Wiconisco, PA, son of the late George and Eva (Klinger) Ritzel.
  He retired from PennDOT as an Engineer in the department for bridge design; was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Harrisburg; was a World War II Marine Corps Veteran and also served during the Korean War; served in the Merchant Marines and was a member of Linglestown American Legion Post 272.
  He was very loving, kind and generous to all who knew him.
  Marlin was the widower of Mary J. (Undo) Ritzel. Surviving are a son, Michael G. Ritzel of Linglestown; a brother, Dean Ritzel of Wiconis co; 2 sisters, Betty Enders of Wiconisco and Barbara Shissler of Sunbury; and 2 grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2004 at 11 a.m., from the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be held with Full Miltary Honors in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
