    DANVILLE - Ty Harlen Paul, 51, of 24 Little Roaring Creek Road, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at his home.
    He was born Nov. 7, 1959, in New Orleans, La., a son of Guy Harlen and Shirley (Adams) Paul. On May 22, 2010, in Montoursville, he married the former Barbara Barnett, who survives. He also lived in Rebuck and Montandon.
    He was a 1977 graduate of Line Mountain High School and served in the Army from 1984 to 1987.
    Ty was employed as a truck driver for Meckley Limestone.
    He was a member of the Montandon American Legion.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Jeremy Paul, of San Antonio, Texas; and three brothers, David, Robby and Robert Paul.
    A viewing will be held from noon to 1 Monday at Farrow's Funeral Directors, Sixth and Chestnut streets, Shamokin, followed by the funeral at 1 with the Rev. Betty Ford officiating.
    Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
    Flowers will be welcome, but friends may send donations in Ty's memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 585, Shamokin, PA 17872, or to the Veterans Affairs Office, 339 S. Fifth St., Sunbury, PA 17801.

    She was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ, Pillow.
    She was a graduate of Bloomsburg University.
    Mrs. Bredbenner was retired as a teacher from Dalmatia Elementary School.
    She was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association; National Educational Association; White Shrine of Jerusalem; and Eastern Star.
    In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Carl Jr. of Vernon, N.J; two daughters, Jane Adams Bredbenner of Coronado, Calif., and Julie Unger of Dobs Ferry, N.Y; two sisters, Arlene Singleton of Calibash, N.C., and Marian Carson of Rockville, Md; and two grandchildren.
    A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Salem United Church of Christ, Pillow, by the Rev. J. Robert Snyder. Anyone who wants to offer a tribute to Mrs. Bredbenner in word or song will have the opportunity to do so at this time. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, near Pillow, at the convenience of the family.
