  WICONISCO - Robert F. Enders, age 82, formerly of Wiconisco, passed away Fri day, May 26, 2006 at The Manor at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg.
  He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church; a lifetime member of Wiconisco Fire Company, and was an Ar my Veteran of World War II.
  He was born August 17, 1923, in Elizabethville, a son of the late Charles and Lilly Hassinger Enders and was the husband of the late Betty Ellen Ritzel Enders.
  He is survived by 3 daughters, Pat Shertzer of Elizabeth ville, Gloria Usaka of Lykens, R.D., and Dorothy Dorman of Miami, FL; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
  Private graveside services with military honors by the Gratz V.F.W. Post 2385, will be held at the convenience of the family, with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.

  ELIZABETHVILLE- Patricia M. Shertzer, age 74 , formerly of Elizabethville, passed away Monday, December 4th, 2017 at the Lutheran Home at Topton.
  She was born June 15, 1943 in Wiconisco PA, daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Ritzel) Enders .
  She ran her home daycare center for over 36 years in Elizabethville.
  She was involved with Elizabethville Library Board. She was a former president of the Elizabethville PTO. Pat was active with band boosters, Avon sales, reading puzzles and loved to socialize.
  She was the widow of Herbert A. Shertzer.
  Survivors include daughter, Jennifer (James) Lowthert, New Tripoli; 2 sisters, Gloria (Mike) Usuka, Loyalton and Dorothy (Jim) Dorman, Miami, FL; 3 Grandchildren, Jordan, Jenna and Jalen, and Nieces and Nephews.
  She was preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Hochreriter.
  The family will receive friends at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes Inc, Elizabethville on Thursday, Dec 7, 2017 from 7-9 PM and Friday 1-2 PM. Services will start at 2 PM. Burial to follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.

  ERIE - Barbara Ann Hochreiter, 50, of 800 Ridgeview Drive, formerly of Wiconisco, died Saturday at home.
  She was an X-ray technician with Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg, and Lansdale Hospital; a graduate of Williams| Valley High School, Tower City, and Polyclinic School of X-Ray Technology; and a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. She enjoyed counted cross-stitch, beaches, collecting beach glass, antiquing and reading.
  Surviving are her husband, George Hochreiter; two daughters, Susan and Beth, both of Erie; her parents Robert and Betty Enders of Wiconisco; three sisters, Patricia E. Shertzer of Elizabethville, Dorothy E. Dorman of Miami and Gloria E. Usaka of Lykens.
  Services will be held at 7:45 tonight in Burton Funeral Home, Eric, and 11 a.m. Thursday in Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens. Burial will be in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Lykens.
  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight in Burton Funeral Home, and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens.

• Darlene Stella Wiest was born on 10 February 1946, Northumberland County, PA.^1,2
• She was the daughter of Bryant Harry Wiest and Mabel Savilla Strohecker.¹
• Some sources state that Darlene was a daughter of her mother's second husband, Glenn E. Thomas, but she was likely Glenn's step-daughter. Social Security records list her maiden name as "Darlene Stella Wiest," as do newspaper accounts of her marriage to Frank Herr. At the time of her mother's divorce in 1952 from Bryant H. Wiest, the had one child, aged 6. Darlene would have been about 6 years old at that time. Social Security records also list her father as "Bryant Wiest." Hence it is more likely that Bryant H. Wiest was her biological father.^3,1,4

  Born Feb. 10, 1946, in Sunbury, daughter of Glenn and Mabel Strochecker Thomas, she was a graduate of the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, Philadelphia. She was active with several of the local deaf organizations and was a member of the One Way Bible Baptist Church, Hagerstown, Md.
  The Herrs resided in Elmhurst before moving to Chambersburg in the mid-1980s.
  Also surviving are two sons, Frankie Herr, Hershey, and Freddie Herr, Hagerstown, Md; a sister, Glenda Hoopert, Carlisle; two brothers, Dale Thomas, Elizabethville, and Mike Thomas, Harrisburg, and three grandchildren.
  The funeral was held Feb. 10 in the Hoffman Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with services by the Rev. Darrell Millsaps. Interment, Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
