    Clayton Franklin Deibler, 63, of Munson, Clearfield County, died Thursday at noon in Phillipsburg State General Hospital.
    He was born Dec. 24, 1908 in Williamstown. His parents were the late Elmer and Mae (Adams) Deibler.
    Mr. Deibler was a retired shovel operator and had worked in the soft coal mines. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Verna Bixler, Valley View: ; his stepmother, Mrs. Florence Host; two sons, Larry at Homstead AFB, I Fla; James of Oxen Hill, Md; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Miller, Allentown; Mrs. Lois Goodman, Millersburg; a brother, Donald Deibler, Millersburg.

    Shirley A. Deibler, 73, of Munson died Sunday at the Clearfield Hospital.
    Born on Nov. 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alberta (Dixon) Vallalla. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Philipsburg.
    Mrs. Deibler was previously a waitress at the Harbor Inn, Philipsburg, when it first opened and until her retirement.
    She married Larry Elmer Deibler Sr., staff sergeant ret., of the United States Air Force, on June 6, 1954 at the Grace United Methodist Church, Philipsburg. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2004.
    In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Deibler was preceded in death by one sister, Kay Vallalla and one brother, Billy Vallalla.
    She’s survived by four children, Tammy L. Bentley of Allport; Maureen Ann Hampton and her husband, Kevin of Madison, OH; Sonya E. Tobias of Curwensville; and Larry E. Deibler Jr. and his wife, Peggy of Shillington.
    Mrs. Deibler is also survived by two brothers, Butch Vallalla and his wife, Peggy of Philipsburg and Anthony Vallalla of Morrisdale and one sister, Bonnie Hessong and her husband, Merle of Philipsburg; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    A memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg with the Rev. Mark Thumma officiating. Interment will be at the Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
    The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Prior to retiring in 1991 she was an assistant manager at Catherine Stout Shop in Whitehall for over 20 years. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Allentown. She loved her children and grandchildren and especially enjoyed family gatherings and cooking for “her” army of people.
