    Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Pifer-Smith Funeral Home, Niles, where friends may call from 2 4a 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Sumnerville. Memorials may be made to the Michigan Heart Fund, South Niles Community Church or the Presbyterian Church of Edwardsburg.
    Mr. Deitrich was born Jan. 23, 1917, in Berrien Springs and moved to Edwardsburg from Niles in 1972. Upon his retirement in 1972, he was plant manager for Kawneer Co., Niles. He was a past president of the Kawneer Management Club.
    His first wife, the former Grace Adams, preceded him in death July 12, 1967. Survivors include: his second wife, the former Nadine Hass; a son, Lawrence of Niles; two daughters Mrs. Myrtle Allison of Dowagiac and Mrs. Jeannette Verdugo of Upland, Calif; a stepson, Garry Hass of Montpelier, Vt; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Kathleen Lane of Statesville, N.C; two brothers Raymond and Arthur of Berrien Springs; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Johnson of Florida; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She died Aug. 28, 1987. On Oct. 15, 1988, in Bemen Springs, he married Donna O. Jones. She survives with a daughter, Patricia Mechling of Constantine; a son, James of SL Joseph; two stepsons, Lany Davis and Merrill Davis, both of Berrien Springs; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Raymond of Niles. Mr. Deitrich was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the church.

    Mr. Deitrich was born March 31. 1914 . in Arden. Mich., to Wil liam H. and Myrtle (Buck) Deitrich. He had lived in this area all his life and was owner and opera-. tor of Deitrich Floor Covering for 45 years, retiring m 1982. Mr. Deitrich enjoyed baseball, playing as a young man in the former Clark Equipment League, and more recently as a spectator.
    On Feb. 20, 1935, in South Bend, Ind., he married Marcielle R. (Johnson) Deitrich, who survives. Also surviving are: four daughters Mrs. Dwight (Marlene) Gillette of Berrien Springs, Ms. Susan Stuckey of Suwanee, Ga., Mrs. Lawrence L. (Sandra) Barinka of Fripp Island, S.C., and Mrs. Kevin (Lori) Bjork of Wayzata, Minn; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.4

In June, 1957 he married Susan Deitrich. Dale worked at Kawneer Company in Niles from 1960 until being transferred to Atlanta, Ga., in 1984. He worked for Alcoa in Atlanta and throughout Europe until his passing.
    Survivors include his wife, Susan; four sons Steve of Buford, Jeff (Kathy) of Berrien Springs, Eric (Tonya) of Buford and Scott (Sandy), of Lawrenceville, Ga; four sisters and a brother Lea (Dave) Marks of Niles, Glenda Stuckey of Berrien Springs, Frank (Diane) Stuckey of Gatlinburg, Tenn., Cheryl Stuckey of Irons, Mich., and Sharon (Dan) Koehler of Irons; and nine grandchildren.     Killed While En Route To Funeral Of Kinsman
    BERRIEN SPRINGS, July 19 -- Funeral arrangements have been completed for Marine Sgt. Donald O. Fisher, 22, of Berrien Springs, who was killed at 6 a. m. yesterday in the worst auto crash in the history of the West Virginia turnpike. Sgt. Fisher was returning home from Camp Lejeune, S. C, to attend the funeral of his wife's grandfather in Niles when the fatal accident occurred about one and one half miles south of Charleston. W. Va.
    Two other persons were killed in the crash, involving three cars and a semi trailer.
    The victim is the son of Charles D. Fisher, of Long Lake community. His mother preceded him in death.
    Funeral Saturday
    Surviving are his father; his wife, Marlene Deitrtch and infant daughter, Cythia Bell. Other survivors include three brothers, Kenneth, Frank, David, all at home; and three sisters, Mrs, Richard Kegley, Berrien Springs; Donna Bell and Betty Ann, at home; and grandparents, Mrs. George Frazee, of Bangor, and George Frazee, of Berrien Springs.
    Sgt. Fisher was born May 29, 1934. He attended Berrien Springs schools before entering the Marine Corps, where he had been on active duty for three years.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p. m. Saturday at the E. U. church in Berrien Springs. The Rev. Robert Horton will officiate.
    Graveside military rites will be conducted by the American Legion. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
