    Mr. Shade was a son of Henry and Martha (Wolfe) Shade, and was a native of Sacramento, Schuylkill County.
    Survivors are four sons and one daughter, Mrs. John Shaffer, Elizabethville R. D; George and Allen Shade, Elizabethville R. D., Albert Shade, Gratz Star Route, Russell Shade, Halifax R. D. 1, and twelve grandchildren. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Maude Hoke, Spring Glen; Mrs. Hannah Umholtz, Gratz; and two brothers, Lawrence Shade, Valley View, and Harry Shade of Spring Glen.
    Services will be held from the Hoover Funeral Home, Berrysburg, at 2:00 o'clock this Thursday afternoon. Rev. Dr. D. I. Sultzhach, pastor of the Sacramento Lutheran Parish, and Rev. L. P. Delp, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Berrysburg, will officiate and interment will be in the Sacramento Cemetery.

    Mrs. Carrie Estella Shade, 46 years, wife of Jacob Shade, died at their home east of Berrysburg, following a heart attack early last evening.
    Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Shade [Saltzer], born December 2, 1889 at Sacramento, and was married to Jacob Shade, October 31, 1908. In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children: Jacob Shade and Mrs. John Schaffer, Berrysburg; George, Allen, Albert and Russell Shade, at home. Other survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Charles Wagner, Mrs. Charles Buffington, Sacramento; Mrs. William Steely, Lykens R. D., Mrs. Arsie Kimmel, Ashland, R. D., a stepbrother, Harry Hoffner, Sacramento and a grandson, Robert Schaffer.
    Funeral services will be held from the residence at ten o'clock Monday morning with further services in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sacramento of which she was a member. Her pastor, Rev. Dr. D. I. SuUzbach will officiate and interment will be made in he cemetery adjoining the church. The body may be viewed at the residence Sunday afternoon.

    She enjoyed spending her off time quilting and sewing as well as tending to her gardens.
    Arlene was survived by two sons, Lindsay (Nancy) Deppen and Gerald (Joette) Deppen, along with numerous grand children and great grand children.
    Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Final resting place will be Grand View Cemetery, Pillow.
