    Elmer H. Quade Sr.
    Elmer H. Quade Sr., 83, of Holtwood R1, died Thursday at 4 a.m. at Lancaster General Hospital following an illness of two years.
    He was the husband of the late Grace K. Schwalm Quade. A retired civil service employee, he had been employed at Franklin Arsenal in Philadelphia. He also managed McCall's Ferry Hotel, an historic landmark, for a number of years.
    Quade was a veteran of world War I and was a member of Quarryville American Legion Post 603. He also belonged to Bethesda United Methodist Church, Holtwood.
    Born in Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Frederick Quade.
    He is survived by two daughters, Thelma, wife of Robert York, Red Lion, and Delores, wife of Ralph Wilks, Hatboro, and one son, Elmer H. Quade Jr., Indianapolis, Ind. : two step-sons, Harold Barth, Philadelphia, and Richard Barth, New Jersey, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
