    W. E. Wolfgang, Lavelle, Is Dead
    William E. Wolfgang, life-long resident of the Lavelle-Mowry section, died at the Hamburg Sanitorium where he had been a patient three years.
    Wolfgang was born in Mowry 44 years ago and lived there until 25 years ago when following his marriage to the former Verna Slotterback, he moved to Lavelle.
    To survive, beside his widow, are these children: Mrs. Wilson Eister, Lavelle; Lloyd and Allen of New Jersey; Lois, Sadie, Alfred, Marvin, Daniel, Verdella, at home, his mother, Mrs. Dena Wolfgang, one grandchild and these brothers, Rev. Louis Wolfgang, Denver; Walter, Daniel, Charles, of Mowry; Mrs. Morris Christman of Pottstown, and a step-sister, Mrs. Charles Toppy, of Reliance, also survive.
    Wolfgang was employed for many years at the Potts Colliery at Locust Dale. He was a member of the Lutheran Church at Lavelle and of the Odd Fellows.
    He will be buried Thursday, with services from his late home at 1:30 and further services in Lutheran Church at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. John Reiner of Hamburg will have charge of the service and will be assisted by Rev. C. E. Rudy of Ashland. Interment will be in Lavelle cemetery.

    Mrs. Verna Verdclle Wolfgang, 73, of Lavelle, died last night in Grandview Hospital, Sellersville, where she was a patient three weeks. Mrs. Wolfgang resided with a daughter. Mrs Wilson (Blanche) Eister, 535 Lawn Avenue, fellersville, the last several weeks.
    Born in Lavelle, August 27, 1897, Mrs. Wolfgang was a daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Wehry) Slotterback. Her husband, William E . Wolfgang, died in 1942. Mrs. Wolfgang was a member of Congregational Church. Lavelle.
    Survivors include nine children, Mrs. Wilson Eister, with whom she resided; Lloyd, Carneys Point, N.J; Allen, Mount Carmel; Alfred, Jonestown; Mrs. James (Lois) Wetzel, Woodstown, N. J ; Daniel, Warrington; Sadie, wife of the Rev. Melvin Stehr Reamstown, and Mrs. Richard (Verdella) Ossman, Gilbertsville: five brothers , Mahlon Slotterback, Mount Carmel; Nelson Slotterback Ashland R. D; Elmer Slotterback, Hatboro; Emerson Slotterback, Lima, Ohio, and Allen Slotterback, Wernersville; 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
