Kinter and Elizabeth Huss, on 5 January 1899; Although the 1900 Census lists Emma as a daughter of Charles Sr., she must have been married to the younger Charles. Her birth date was one month after Charles Jr., both of whom are listed as married. Their daughter Ethel is listed as the granddaughter of the elder Charles.4,3

    Twenty years at the Chestnut street market house as a wholesale and retail fruit dealer, Charles E. Klinger, 53, 106 South Court street, died last night at the Polyclinic Hospital after an illness of several weeks. He was born at Lykens.
    Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Emma Klinger; two sons, Edward and Clarence Klinger, this city; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Stephens and Misses Alma and Pansy Klinger; his mother, four brothers and one sister.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at 511 North Second street, the Rev. J. W Voorhis, of Market Square Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Paxtang Cemetery. The body may be viewed Sunday night at 511 North Second street.

    She was born Jan. 10, 1900 the daughter of the late Charles and Emma Kiner Klinger.
    She was a member of the Salvation Army and the Ladies Home League, Sunday School and the Salvation Army Senior Action Center. She also was a member of the Golden Age Club.
    She is survived by her husband, Charles E., Sr; 5 sons Charles E. Jr., Vern E. and William A., all of Carlisle; Paul A. and Robert L. both of Mount Holly Springs; a brother, Edwin Klinger, Mechanicsburg; 2 sisters, Mrs. Alma Krahling and Mrs. Pansy Dorer both of Harrisburg; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
    The funeral service will be held at 2 Monday from the Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover, with Captain Kenneth G. Bevan officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 Sunday evening. There will be a special memorial service at the Salvation Army at 7 p.m. on April 2.
