    Halifax- James W. Shoop, of Halifax, PA, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2007 in the Manor at Susquehanna Village. He was born Thursday, February 2, 1911 in Halifax, PA, the Son of the late Elmer H. & Vada Seltzer Shoop. He was the husband of Evelyn M. Holtzman Shoop. He was a life long farmer. He was a member of Faith U.M. Church, Fisherville. He served as a township supervisor for Jackson Twp. Surviving are a Daughter Miriam R. Snyder of Elizabethville, a Son Lynn E. Shoop of Halifax, a Daughter Jean M. Laudenslager of Halifax, step daughters Barbara Weist of Elizabethville and Gardenia Steel of Halifax. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives Esther M. Enders and Dorothy Seagrist Shoop. Services will be held at Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc., Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Gail Boyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Halifax. Friends will be received 7-9 PM Wednesday and again 10-11 AM Thursday, August 2 at the at the Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc., Elizabethville, PA.     MRS. JAMES W. SHOOP
    Mrs. Esther Shoop, age 416 years, of Jackson Township, wife of James W. Shoop, died in a Harrisburg hospital on Wednesday. She had been in ill health for some time.
    Mrs. .Shoop was a daughter of Thomas F. and Jennie (Hoffman) Enders and was a native and lifelong long resident of Jackson Township. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Fisherville.
    Survivors are her husband, two daughters and one son, Miriam, Mrs. Guy Snyder, Halifax R. D. Miss Jean and Lynn E. Shoop, both at home, and three grandchildren.
    Also surviving are her parents, three brothers and three sisters, Thomas 0., Samuel and Claude Enders, Mrs. Earl Baker and Mrs. Harry Hampton, all of Halifax R. D. 1; and Miss Mary Enders of Harrisburg.
    Services will be held from the Buffington Funeral Home, Elizabethville, at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. Edward G. Brame, pastor of the Fisherville Lutheran Parish will officiate and interment will he in Faiiview Cemetery at Enders.
    Friends may call at the Funeral Home Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 o'clock.
