    Shirley B. Byle, 86, of Gratz, passed away on October 20, 2021, at her home in Gratz. She was born in Lykens Twp on September 29, 1935, a daughter of the late Gladis and Kermit Klinger. She was a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz, and the church organist for over 32 years.
    Shirley is survived by her three sons, Craig (Tina) Byle of Broussard, LA, Leonard Byle of Gratz, William Byle of Gratz; two grandsons, Bradly and Bransen; brother, Gene (Shirley "Sue") Klinger of Mechanicsburg.
    A viewing will be held on October 23, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am also from the Church. Interment will take place in the Gratz Union Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Simeon United Lutheran Church, PO Box 478, Gratz, PA 17030 or Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd Harrisburg, PA 17110.2

    He was born in RD Herndon on July 14, 1935, a son of the late William Frank and Kath-erine L. (Kissinger) Byle. He married the former Chris Conrad, who survives.
    Mr. Byle served in the Navy.
    He retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Base, where he was employed as a motor pool supervisor.
    Paul was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2385, Gratz, and the Alvin Long Post of the American Legion, Mandata.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Craig P. and Tena Byle, Leonard R. Byle, and William H. and Racheal Byle, all of Gratz; one stepson and his wife, Kenneth and Robin Dreese of North Benton, Ohio; four stepdaughters and their husbands, Karen and Jerry Leader of Halifax, Jane Seabolt of Canton, Ga., Janet Dreese of Herndon, and Ann and Todd Hess of Herndon; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Connie Byle of Tallahassee, Fla., and Jim and Donna Byle of Camp Hill; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred and Ralph Miller of New Cumberland and Betty and Jack Baldoski of Sarasota, Fla; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by one brother, William Byle, and one sister, Sonja Byle.
    Friends may call from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at, the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Chestnut and Market streets. Pillow, where a religious service will follow at 11:30 with the Rev. Gerald Evens officiating.
    Burial will be in Lantz Cemetery, RD1 Sunbury.
    Donations may be made in Paul's memory to the memorial fund o fVFW Post 2385, Lykens, PA 17048.
