    Lyle C. Miller, 90, of Valley View, passed away Saturday at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
    He was born in Fearnot, Dec. 5, 1925, a son of the late William D. and Iva Klouser Miller.
    He was a graduate of Hubley Township High School, Class of 1943. He graduated from Lebanon Valley College, Annville, with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and economics and received his master's degree in commerce and finance from Bucknell University, Lewisburg.
    He served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater aboard the USS Missouri and was present for the signing of the Japanese Instrument of Surrender on Sept. 2, 1945, on the deck of the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay.
    He was employed briefly as a professor at Bucknell University and was head of the accounting department of the former Alcoa Aluminum Co.
    He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, where he taught the adult Sunday school class for many years. He was also a member of Valley Lodge F&AM 797.
    Lyle enjoyed spending his weekends antiquing at various sales and also enjoyed spending time on his farm.
    He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Myles Miller, and an infant brother, Dean.
    He is survived by his wife, Carloyn Schwalm Miller, to whom he was married for 69 years; a daughter, Cindy L. Reed and her husband, Bill, Valley View, and a son, Dan Miller and his wife, Barbara, Sacramento; four grandchildren, Brett Reed, Brad Reed, Josh Miller and Kayla Masser; five great-grandchildren, Juliana, Brett and Jordan Reed, and Isaac and Isabelle; a sister, Ethel Kehler; two brothers, Ivan and Mark Miller; nieces and nephews.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Duane Bardo officiating. The Masonic service will begin at 10:50 a.m. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.     Edward C. Schwalm, E. Market St., Williamstown, died Friday evening in Polyclinic Hospital, Hbg.
    He was a member of West Street United Methodist Church, Williamstown and Porter-Tower Lions Club.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Cecila Bainbridge, and two sons, Donald of Williamstown; Larry of Coopersburg. There are four grandchildren.
    One brother, William, and four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Lubold, Mrs. Verna Schwalm, Mrs. Mabel Stutzman and Mrs. Hilda Donton, all of Valley View, also survive.
    Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from the J. F. Lyons Funeral Home, 201 East Market St., Williamstown, with the Rev. Merle Saxman officiating. Burial was made in the Methodist Cemetery, Williamstown.6

    Born in Valley View, September 8, 1936, a son of the late Edward and Celica Bainbridge Schwalm.
    He was a 1954 graduate of Williamstown High School. Donnie retired from Amp Inc. as a Die Designer.
    He was a 52 year member of Ashlar Lodge F & AM # 570, Lykens where he served as a past master.
    He was an active member of Williamstown United Methodist Church, serving on various committees.
    Donnie was a Williams Township Supervisor for a number of years as well as serving on the board of the Williamstown United Methodist Cemetery.
    He enjoyed spending time with family and attending the grandchildren's sporting events.
    Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Carol White Schwalm, a son, Keith Schaffer (Diana), 3 grandchildren, Jim (Kelly), Drew & Vicki, one great grandchild, James. One brother, Larry Schwalm (Berdine).
    Masonic services will begin at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 23rd from the Williamstown United Methodist Church. Religious services will follow with Pastor Amanda Bressler. Visitation will be from 10-11 am at the church. Burial will be in the Methodist Cemetery, Williamstown. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Williamstown Untied Methodist Church, 203 East Street, Williamstown, PA 17098. The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., has been entrusted with the arrangements.3

    Larry G. Schwalm, 83, of Coopersburg, died Monday, June 6, 2022 at his residence. He is the husband of V. Berdine (Adams) Schwalm. Larry was born in Valley View, PA on September 22, 1938 to the late Edward and Celica (Bainbridge) Schwalm. He was employed in various roles at AT&T and the former Western Electric for 30 years until his retirement in 1989. Larry is a past President of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Allentown Chapter; active in the F&AM Lodge 469 Coopersburg for 55 years where he served as Past Worshipful Master. He enjoyed coaching his son's baseball teams in Coopersburg, and involved in Southern Lehigh's Youth Wrestling. Larry was an avid golfer and long-time Phillies fan.
    SURVIVORS: In addition to his loving wife of 62 years; children: Timothy E. (Sharon Utsch) of Allentown, Martin T. (Tracy) of Fountain Hill; grandchildren: Allyson and Carly. Predeceased by brother: Donald E. Schwalm

    He was born Dec. 21, 1932, in Valley View, a son of the late Robert Charles and Elda Matilda (Schwalm) Green.
    Bob graduated from Ralpho Township High School in 1950.
    He was a member of the Horticulture Association of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.
    He was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Danville.
    Bob never retired from his lifelong profession as a successful fruit grower since 1945. He had 100 acres of orchards where he grew mainly apples and peaches. A large amount of fruit was sold wholesale, but Bob and his wife, Joan, attended the Lewisburg Farmers Market and Saturday morning curb market in Shamokin for all of their married life.
    Bob married Joan Ann Bycoskie on June 20, 1959, in Sunbury. They were happily married for 58 years.
    Bob was preceded in death by a brother and a sister, James Green and Gale (Green) Sevison.
    In addition to Bob's wife, he is survived by a daughter and two sons, Julie A. (Green) Hricko, and her husband, Michael J., of Nicholson, Robert D. Green and his wife, Yook-Fung Green, of Cleveland, Ohio, and John C. Green and his wife, Melody, of Cincinnati, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Robert J., Elda M. and Rose V. Hricko, Georgia R., Lily E., Marabelle and Frances Green.

Born June 9, 1936 in Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Elda (Schwalm) Green. She was married to Robert E. Sevison on January 28, 1956.
    Gale was a 1954 graduate of Elysburg High School. She retired from the Hershey Medical Center where she worked in accounts payable for a number of years.
    In addition to her husband of over 61 years, she will be lovingly missed by a son, Kirby L. Sevison, of Middletown and a grandson, Lucas L. Sevison. She is also survived by a brother, Robert R. Green and wife, Joan, of Elysburg. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Green.
    A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, 717-367-1543. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
