  • In 1920, Jasper and Vesta were living in Lower Mahanoy Township, Northumberland County, PA, where he was a machinist at a spinning mill.7
  • At the time of the 1930 Census, Vesta and Jasper were living on Front or River Street, in Dalmatia, Lower Mahanoy Township. Jasper was a foreman at a silk mill, while his wife Vesta was a knitter at a silk mill.1

    Jasper A. Klinger, 71, lifelong resident of Dalmatia, died in his home of a heart ailment.
    Born August 16, 1886, Mr. Klinger was a son of the late Emmanuel and Lavina Radle Klinger. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Dalmatia.
    In his earlier years. Mr. Klinger was employed as a foreman for the Dalmatia Silk Company, and later as a machine operator for Dalmatia Shirt Company. Later he entered the partnership with late Benjamin Phillips in operation of the Dalmatia Silk Company. He retired two years ago.
    Mr. Klinger was married December 23, 1911, to Alvesta May Long. Surviving are the widow, one sister, Mrs. Bertha Baker, Lemoyne; one brother, Gordon Klinger, Houghton. Mich., an uncle and several nieces and nephews, including a niece, Miss Margaret Beinlich, who made her home with the Klingers in Dalmatia for 30 years.
    Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 in Hoover Funeral Home, Dalmatia. Rev. J. J. Weikel will officiate. Burial will be in Dalmatia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening.

  • Lloyd Bordner married Mary C. Weaver on 23 August 1929, Dauphin County, PA.4
  • Lloyd Bordner married Daisy E. Billman, daughter of Adam Billman and Eva Katherine Long, on 26 November 1931, Elizabethville, Dauphin County, PA.5
  • Alma Vienna Strohecker and Lloyd Bordner had a relationship, but no marriage records were found for them. Apparently after her husband Foster Keister died in 1942, Alma and Lloyd Bordner had a relationship that produced several children. They shared a household in 1950, although he was listed as a "lodger" in her household.6,7
  • At the time of the 1950 Census, Lloyd was a lodger in the home of Alma V. Keister, head of the household in Wiconisco, Dauphin, PA, and mother of Lloyd's son Lloyd C. Bordner.8

    Lloyd Bordner, 71, of 1216 Pennsylvania Ave., Croydon, formerly of Wiconisco, died Saturday.
    Mr. Bordner was born in Carsonville, son of the late Thomas and Emma Stoneroad Bordner.
    Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Sandra L. Maclean, Croydon, and Mrs. Doris Hubler, Pine Grove; six sons, Lloyd Bordner, Wiconisco, Ernest E. Bordner, RD Herndon, Clloyd, Ronald, Richard and Gary Keister all of Wiconisco; 17 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Oscar Bordner, Millersburg.
    Services will be held Wednesday morning from the John M. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, with the Rev. Herbert L. Bulkley, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Carsonville.
