    ACCIDENTALLY KILLS SELF WHILE TARGET SHOOTING
    Ernest N. Dietrich, 44, of West Main Street.accidentally killed himself while target shooting with a hunting; rifle in Washington Township, a short distance west of town, last Thursday.
    Dietrich, who was alone at the time, posted three target cards, shot at them four times, and then apparently tripped over a tin can, causing the rifle to dischare a bullet into his chest, deputy county coroner, Dr. S. E. Herrold said.
    His body was found some time later by his brother, Gerald Dietrich. A son of Harry and Millie (Hoffman) Dietrich, he was born May 27, 1016, in Jackson Township.
    Dietrich was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Posts, and the Reliance Hose Company, Elizabethville.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Eileen Klinger Dietrich; a son and a daughter, Mark Carl, and Millie Mae, both at home; and the following brothers and sisters: James Dietrich, Los Angeles, California; Gerald Dietrich, Elizabethville; Mrs. Harvey J. Williams, Baldwin, Long Island, New York; Mrs. Mark Shadle, Tower City; Mrs. Leroy Huntzinger of . Williamstown; Mrs. A. H. McCollough, Rockwell Center, Long Island, New York; Mrs. Robert Beistel, Mrs. Donald Zewe, Mrs. Milford Schlegel and Mrs. Donald Wilt, all of Millersburg.
    Services were held from the Buffington Funeral Home, West Main Street, at 2 :00 o'clock Monday afternoon. Rev. Lloyd R. Helt, Htstor of the Loyalton Charge, Evangelical United Brethren Church, officiated, and interment was made in Maple Grove Cemetery.

    FUNERAL SERVICES FOR INFANT
    Funeral services for Ruth Elizabeth Klinger, aged 11 months and 25 days, who died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Madie Klinger, Market Street, Millersburg, Monday, March 12th, were held last Thursday afternoon. The child succumbed after being ill for two days.
    She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Klinger, the father having died one year ago, and since that time her mother took up her residence in Millersburg. She was baptized April 4 1927 in the Lutheran Faith by Rev. J. S. Sowa, and is survived by her mother, Mrs. Madie Klinger and two sisters, Elsie and Jean, both at home. Funeral services were held from the home at two o'clock, and in St. John's Lutheran Church, Berrysburg, and burial was made in St. John's Church Cemetery. Services were conducted by the pastor, the Rev. J. S. Sowa.

    Patricia Ann (Shaffer) Klinger, 89, of King of Prussia, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Suburban Community Hospital in Norristown. She was the loving wife of Carl R. Klinger, sharing 65 years of marriage together.
    Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (Harman) Shaffer.
    Patricia was a 1950 graduate of Upper Dauphin High School and then went on to attend Washington University and graduate in 1954 from the St. Louis Institute of Music. She spent most of her life as a piano teacher; beginning when she was 15 up to just recently with COVID forcing her into retirement.
    She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pennsburg. In addition to her love for music, Patricia loved gardening.
    Surviving along with her husband, are a son, Lance N. Klinger and wife, Lori of Bethlehem and a grandson, Mark Klinger. She is predeceased by a son, Dane A. Klinger.
    Services will be private at this time.
    Due to her love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Sweisford Rd, Perkiomenville, PA 18074.5

Lamar Klinger, Elizabethville; 2 daughters, Linda Klinger, Harrisburg and Lois E., wife of Jeffrey Miller, Lafayette, IN; 2 sisters, Violet Klinger and Lorraine, wife of Clyde Witmer, both of Pillow Gap; 2 grandsons, Andrew J., husband of Hagit Miller, Oakland, CA and Adam L. Miller, Indianapolis, IN; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Earl Klinger and a sister, Fern Klinger.
    Services will be held at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes, Inc., Elizabethville on Monday, October 13 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Dan Shahan officiating. Interment will follow in Sweitzers Memorial Cemetery, Berrysburg. Viewing at the funeral home on Monday from 1-2 p.m.
