John K. Salada, 76, of 757 E. Main St., Lykens, died Monday in Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg.
He was born in Lykens, a son of the late John and Vesta Ann Schaffner Salada.
He was a retired miner.
Mr. Salada was a member of Hegins Pentecostal Church and Tower City Fire Company.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Sara Adams.
Surviving are his wife, the former Pauline R. Nicklo; four daughters, Betty Shutt, Sheridan, Norma Hoy and Mrs. Ernest Fauber, both of Tower City, and Vera Donmoyer, Pine Grove; six sons, George, Ronald and David, all of Tower City, Paul, Manheim, Roy, Mechanicsburg, and James, Williamstown; 37 grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Mary Dunkle, Donaldson, and Katherne Klouser, Valley View; two brothers, Chance, San Francisco, Calif. and Luther, in Kansas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Lykens. The Rev. Bernard P. McGinley will be the celebrant. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City. John M. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, is in charge of arrangements.

John K. Salada, 76, of 757 E. Main St., Lykens, died Monday in Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg.

Mrs. Sarah Salada, 53, of 119 E. Grand Ave., Tower City, the wife of John Salada, died on Saturday at 8:15 a.m. in Pottsville Hospital, where she was admitted on Jan. 1.
Mrs. Salada, born at Hebe, was a daughter of the late Henry and Emma Goodman Adams.
She was member of the Assembly of God Church at Spring Glen.
Surviving are, her husband; four daughters: Mrs. Betty Shutt, Mrs. Norma Hoy and Mrs. Dora Yorty, all of. Tower City; Mrs. Vera Dunmoyer of Pine Grove RD; seven sons: : George, Roy and James, all of Tower City; Paul stationed at Griffith Air Force Base, New York, Ronald of Valley View and Darwin and David, both at home.
There four sisters: Mrs. Jennie Heberling of Orwin, Mrs. Fay Morgan of Dorsife, Mrs. Eva King and Mrs. Martha Snyder, both of Lykens, and three brothers: Nathan Adams of Herndon, Ray Adams of Urban and Paul Adams of Danville; also 20 grandchildren.
Funeral Tuesday morning from Stewart Dreisigacker Funeral Home at Tower City. The Rev. Paul A. Rainbow of the Assembly of God Church at Spring Glen, will officiate at services. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City.
