Larry Steven Schreffler, 67, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13 after battling Lewy Body Dementia for several years. Born in Dillsburg on April 4, 1945 to Alma Starr Schreffler and the late Marlin Jefferson Schreffler, Larry grew up in Leck Kill, Pa. and spent most of his life in Williamsport, Pa.
Larry is survived by his wife Barbara Reidinger Schreffler, son Curtis Schreffler and wife Ursula of Dillsburg, Pa. and daughter Jule Schreffler Eller and husband Ernie of Mooresville, NC. He was also blessed with six grandchildren, Austin, Leah, Shyla and Leslie Schreffler and Kyrsten and Duncan Eller.
A 27-year-veteran of Tetley Tea, Larry was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed many years as a pitcher of slow-pitch softball. He was a kind, gentle spirit who will be missed greatly by friends and family.
Services will be held Friday, Jan. 18 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 201 South Baltimore St., Dillsburg, Pa. with the Rev. Lois K. Van Orden officiating. Visitation begins at 10 with a ceremony following. HERNDON -- Albert Afton Leitzel, 67, of RR1 Herndon died Friday, May 23, 1997, at Geisinger Medical Center,
Danville. He was born May 31, 1929, in Valley View, a son of the late J. Albert and Estella E. (Paul) Leitzel. He married the former Dorothy E. Spotts.
Mr. Leitzel was a 1948 graduate of Lower Mahanoy Township High School.
He was a self-employed farmer.
Mr. Leitzel was a member of Himmel's Lutheran Church, Rebuck.
He was a member of the Pillow Fire Company and a former member of the National Rifle Association, Pennsylvania Farmers Union, National Farmers Union, Mahantongo Rod & Gun Club, Union County, and Havice Hunting Camp.
Mr. Leitzel was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
In addition to his wife, surviving are two daughters, Teresa A. Dobson of Dornsife and Brenda A. Tilton of Centreville, Va; four sons, Dale E. of Northumberland, Keith A. of Pillow, Lynn A. of Sunbury and Shawn D. of RR1 Herndon; one brother, James C. of RR1 Herndon; one sister, Carol Kissinger of Loyalton; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert L., in 1994.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Market and Chestnut streets, Pillow, by the Rev. Fred Faust. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Pillow.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 tonight and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Keith is survived by his wife Linda Leitzel; son, Tyron (Nikki) Leitzel; brothers, Dale, Lynn, Glen and Shawn Leitzel; granddaughter, Alyssa Leitzel; grandson, Tyler (Tracey) Leitzel and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Timothy and Steven Noecker.

A daughter of the late John and Marie Mauris Coleman, she was a member of the Fountain Lutheran and Reformed Church. Her husband, Robert Hauck, is a prominent Hegins Valley poultryman.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hauck is survived by ten children Mrs. Irma Ludwig, Harrisburg; Arthur Hauck and Mrs. Charles Conrad, Valley View; Mrs. J. J. Larona A Smink, 84, of Pitman, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at York Terrace, Pottsville.
Larona was born in Klingerstown, on April 27, 1936, a daughter of the late Irene K (Reed) and Clarence E Wiest.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lamar Klinger, who passed away in 1974, her second husband H. Charles "Charlie" Smink who passed away in 2011, and her companion Guy Schreffler who passed away in 2019.
She attended Upper Mahantongo Schools and worked part time at Crossroads Market, Spread Eagle Farm, Koppy's Store and Snyder's Greenhouse
She was a member of the Idella Rebekah Lodge #58 of Dornsife, Woodmen of the World Lodge 433 of Pitman, and the Tri-Valley and Mahantongo Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the Pitman Trio and the Wolfe Family Band.
Larona volunteered for many years at the Friendly Nursing Home and also enjoyed helping wherever she was needed. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, playing guitar, square dancing, and looked forward to getting together with her coloring group and sewing group.
Larona is survived by two daughters, Charlene Woodring, wife of Homer Jr, of Catawissa; Bonnie Snyder, wife of James E., of Rebuck; two sons Brian Klinger, husband of Sheila, of Klingerstown; Todd, husband of Betty Klinger, of Leck Kill; 10 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren,4 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Private services will be held at St. Michael's Lutheran Church with Pastor Jonathan Jenkins officiating.

H. Charles "Charlie" Smink, 80, of Pitman, died Sunday at home surrounded by his family.
Born in RD Pitman, Sept. 21, 1930, he was a son of the late Henry and Mary Knerr Smink.
He was a graduate of Hegins Township High School, Class of 1949, and in his earlier years worked construction. He was a service technician for Sears retiring in 1990 and was known as a "handy man" by the local community, always taking on projects.
Charlie was a member of Hepler's Church of God and served on the church council. He also taught Sunday School and organized the grove services. He loved singing and he led the hymn sing at the Mahantongo Fire Company Community Hymn Sing for many years.
He was an active member of the Woodman of the World Lodge 433 of Pitman, was a member of both Mahantongo and Klingerstown fire companies, and was also a member of Tri-Valley and Mahantongo Seniors.
Charlie enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Left Fork Rod and Gun Club in Clinton County.
He enjoyed volunteering at the Friendly Nursing Home and was a driver for Tri-Valley Volunteer Home Care for many years.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Walter Smink; a sister, Esther McGee; and his stepfather, Carl Gerhart.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Larona A. Wiest Klinger Smink, whom he married on Oct. 29, 1978; four children, Charlene Woodring and her husband, Homer Jr., Catawissa, Bonita Snyder and her husband, James E., Rebuck, Brian Klinger and his wife, Sheila, Klingerstown, and Todd Klinger and his wife, Betty, Leck Kill; a brother, Donald Smink and his wife, Emma, Harrisburg; three sisters, Marcella Zombolas and her husband, Terry, Arizona, Lois Hopper and Peggy Huffman, both of Texas; a stepsister, Dorothy Balthaser; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, 1133 Ridge Road, Klingerstown, and also from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Hepler's Church of God, Pitman, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Andrew Weaver officiating. Interment will be in Hepler's Church of God Cemetery. Lamar R. Klinger, 40, of RD Klingerstown, died suddenly about 5 p.m. Sunday at his home, apparently of a heart seizure. He was a farmer.
Mr. Klinger was a son of Ralph and Hilda Mattern Klinger of RD Klingerstown. He was born at RD Dornsife Jan. 8, 1934. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church and Sunday School, Klingerstown and was an active member of the Klingerstown Fire Company.
He was married to the former Larona Wiest at RD Klingerstown on Aug. 27, 1955.
Surviving, in addition to his widow and his parents are four children, Charlene, 17; Bonita, 15; Brian, 11 and Todd, four years old, all at home; brothers, Bryant and Ernest, of RD Klingerstown; sisters, Rachael and Susie Klinger, of RD Klingerstown; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lizzie Mattern, of RD Dornsife.
Memorial services will be held Thursday morning at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Klingerstown. Rev. Robert Johnson will officiate. The Lawrence E. Rothermel Funeral Home of RD Klingerstown is in charge.

SHAMOKIN — Lloyd Wehry Sr., 74, of Shamokin, went to meet our Lord Jesus peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020.
He was born Feb. 24, 1946, in Klingerstown, and graduated from Tri-Valley High School before studying accounting at Central Penn.
He was the ever-appreciated door-to-door farmer in Shamokin, providing farm-fresh produce to thousands over decades of service.
After marrying Jean (Janaskie) in 2003, Lloyd moved to Bunker Hill and enjoyed many friendships and fond memories in his adopted community.
Lloyd was an exemplary family man and a loving father. He enjoyed caring for his home and garden and was very proud to be recognized by Mayor John Brown for his spectacular holiday decorations. Family and friends will always remember Lloyd for his infectious laugh, ever-present smile and gracious heart eager to help in any way possible.
He is survived by three children, Lloyd “Ed” Wehry Jr., of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Betty Klinger and her husband, Todd, of Leck Kill, and Tommy Wehry and his wife, Roxana, of Union City, New Jersey; four grandchildren, Autumn Wehry, of Chicago, Delaney Klinger and Rhett Klinger, both of Leck Kill, and Venicia Wehry, of Union City, New Jersey; five siblings, Harry Wehry Sr., of Dornsife, Harold Wehry Jr., of Klingerstown, John Wehry Sr. and his wife, Doreen, of Dornsife, Tyrone Wehry Sr. and his wife, Peggy, of Dornsife, and Randy Wehry Sr. and his wife, Jane, of Klingerstown; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean; his sister, Betty; a brother, Walter; and parents, Harold Sr. and Carol.

WEHRY — Lloyd Wehry Sr., of Shamokin. A celebration of life reception is scheduled for both Lloyd and his cherished wife, Jean, from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Benigna’s Creek Winery, 1585 Ridge Road, Klingerstown. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the lives and memories of Lloyd and Jean and the profound love they shared for each other, their families and their many friends. In accordance with state and federal mandates, face coverings and social distancing guidelines are required. Due to capacity restrictions for outdoor gatherings, we kindly ask that attendees be mindful of maintaining a flow in the visitation and dress appropriately to be outdoors in fall weather.
