Larry P. Neugard, 79, of Klingerstown, passed away Saturday, November 27th, at Green Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehab, Pottsville.
Born in Ashland, on August 18, 1942, he was a son of the late Marie (Miller) and Paul Neugard. He was preceded in death by his wife Dianne E. Neugard who passed away May 4, 2020.
Larry graduated from the Tri-Valley High School in 1960 and also graduated from Ford Business School in Pottsville.
He was employed as an accountant. He started his career working for Clyde Mehlman's Shop, then worked many years at Wagner W. M. Sales Company Inc. in Winfield and retired from Ram Industrial Services Inc., Leesport.
He was a member of the Salem Church of Rough and Ready. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the World Lodge 433 of Pitman.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their school and sporting events. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, going on walks and in his younger years enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling and golfing.
Larry is survived by two sons Brent, husband of Pam Neugard and Brady, husband of Angela Neugard,all of Klingerstown; 4 grandchildren, Brittany, Brock, Lexi, and Dawson Neugard and one sister, Carol, wife of Terry Stehr.
Viewing will be held on Friday December 3, 2021 from 10-11 AM at the Salem Church of Rough and Ready 11 Church Rd., Klingerstown with the funeral service following at 11 AM with Pastor Mark Mantz officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery Klingerstown, PA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Church Memorial Fund, C/O Lori Brown 303 Valley Road, Klingerstown.

DIANNE'S OBITUARY
Dianne Elizabeth Neugard, 77, of Klingerstown, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Dianne was born in Pottsville, on April 11, 1943, a daughter of the late Hannah (Boyer) and Blair Sitlinger.
She was a retired cafeteria worker, working at the Mahantongo Elementary School and also worked for 30 years at Neugard's Produce and Greenhouse.
Dianne was a member of the Salem Church of Rough and Ready.
She looked forward to daily walks and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed working in the greenhouse and loved flowers, she also enjoyed going to the beach.
Dianne is survived by her husband of 57 years, Larry Neugard; two sons Brent, husband of Pam Neugard, Brady, husband of Angela Neugard, all of Klingerstown; 4 grandchildren, Brittany, Brock, Lexi, and Dawson Neugard; two sisters, Renee Morgan and Janice Maurer and her husband Larry; and a sister-in-law Carol Stehr and her husband Terry.
Due to current regulations services will be private with interment in Salem Cemetery.

     Her married name was Paul.¹ Minnie Donton was born on 29 August 1883, Reinerton, Schuylkill County, PA.^3,2 She was the daughter of Hiram Donton and Emma Laing.² Minnie Donton married Preston Daniel Paul, son of Daniel S. Paul and Amelia Jane Schwalm.^1,3 Minnie Donton died on 14 October 1916, Porter Township, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 33; complications of accidental miscarriage.^3,2

Death Of A Young Woman at Orwin
Mrs. Minnie Paul, aged 33 yrs., 1 month and 15 days, wife of Preston Paul, died at 10:45 o'clock Saturday night at her home at Orwin of hemorrhages after a brief illness. Deceased was a life long resident of Oiwin and was well known in the upper end of the valley. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her.
She leaves to survive, besides her husband, five childien, her mother, Mrs. Hiram Donton, two brothers Elmer and Bay and two sisters, Annie and Ethel Donton, all of Orwin.
The funeral took place at 10 o'clock Thursday morning from her late home at Orwin and was largely attended. After a brief service at the house by Rev. Ira F. Frankenfield, the remiains were taken to the L. & R. cemetery for interment, after which the services were concluded by the same pastor in the Lutheran and Reformed church.

     Her married name was Leitzel.¹ Estella Irene Paul was born on 2 October 1911.² She was the daughter of Preston Daniel Paul and Minnie Donton.¹ Estella Irene Paul married James Albert Leitzel, son of Oscar Troutman Leitzel and Sevilla Wolfgang.¹ Estella Irene Paul died on 10 August 1972, Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 60.^3,4

Mrs. Estella I. Leitzel, 60, Herndon RD1, native of Orwin, died last Thursday evening in the Good Samaritan Hospital where she was admitted that morning.
The daughter of Preston and Minnie Douton Paul, she was a member of Himmel's Lutheran Church, Rebuck.
Her husband, Albert, died several years ago.
Surviving are three sons, Albert and Robert, both of Herndon RD; James, Carlisle RD2; a daughter, Mrs. Leroy Kissinger, Lykens RD; a brother, Earl Paul, Tower City; two sisters, Mrs. Edward O'Neill, Pottstown; Mrs. John Shutt, Orwin; three stepbrothers, Clyde Weaver, Orwin; John Weaver, Philadelphia; Earl Weaver, Halifax RD; 21 grandchildren; a great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday morning from the Hoover Funeral Home, Berrysburg. The Rev. Paul Billow officiated with burial in Hebe Cemetery.

He married Estella Irene Paul, daughter of Preston Daniel Paul and Minnie Donton.¹ James Albert Leitzel died on 15 March 1956, Danville, Montour County, PA, at age 48.⁴

Albert J. Leitzel, 48, Herndon R D., died in Danville after an illness of several months.
Mr. Leitzel was a member of David's Lutheran Church, Hebe; Orwin Gun Club and the Dalmatia and Pillow Fire Companies. Surviving are the widow, Estella Leitzel: three sons. Albert, Jr., Robert and James, all of Herndon R. D; a daughter, Mrs. Leroy Kissinger, Herndon R. D; four brothers, Thomas Leitzel. Herndon R. D.. and William, Harlan and David Leitzel, Pottsville; four sisters, Mrs. John Schlegel, Valley View; Mrs. James Williard, Ashland; Mrs. Ernest Long, Klingerstown, and Mrs. William Noecker, Herndon R. D., and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 in Berrysburg Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Billow will officiate. Burial will be in David's Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, from 7:00 until 9:00 p. m.
