    Clair Ellsworth Adams, 67, of 311 Poplar St., Highspire, died Sunday at home.
    He retired as a computer programmer from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, and was a member of Rutherford and Williamstown fire companies. His hobbies were coin and stamp collecting.
    Surviving are his wife, M. Faye Adams; two sons, Clayton E. of Harrisburg and John R. of Millerstown; a sister, Betty Buffington of Conyngham; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hetrick Funeral Home, Susquehanna Twp. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
    Viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

    Leon C. Buffington, 93, of Conyngham passed away Sunday evening at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
    Born in Lykens, PA, September 27, 1923, he was the son of the late Adam and Arlene (Cooper) Buffington, and spent the past 40 years in Conyngham after moving from Dunmore.
    Leon was a US Army Veteran of WWII and Korea and was a Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart Recipient. Prior to his retirement in 1983, Leon had been a Chief Systems Engineer for PPL, where he had worked for 50 years and was a member of the PPL Retirees Club. He was a member of Conyngham United Methodist Church, where he had served as Financial Secretary and was a member of the Brothers Group. He was a member and Past President of the Butler Township Senior Citizens and the former ROMEOs Club. He was a volunteer delivery person for Meals on Wheels for 20 years, and was an avid car enthusiast and sports fan.
    He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his wife Elizabeth “Betty” (Adams) Buffington, to whom he was married 73 years before her passing on January 25, 2016; and three brothers, Glen, Claude, and Joseph.
    Surviving are three children Nancy Simmers, Northampton; Leon K. Buffington, Whitehall; and Beverly Hilliard and her husband Bruce, Drums; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother Dale Buffington, and his wife Sara, Friendship, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
    His funeral will be held Saturday at 11 am with a Memorial Service at Conyngham United Methodist Church, 411 Main Street, Conyngham. His Pastor, Cheryl Trent will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Conyngham Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the church, Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service.
    In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Meals on Wheels of Greater Hazleton, 780 N. Church Street, Hazleton, PA 18202 or Conyngham U.M. Church, PO Box AB, Conyngham, PA 18219.

    Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at St. Philomena's Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, N.J.
    Pat graduated from Belleville High School in 1953 before attending Bloomfield College.
    He was employed for many years with Edison Parking in Newark.
    He also ran his own personnel agency for a number of years.He worked for GMC Parking in New York before retiring to Henderson, Nev., in 2001.
    Pat was predeceased by his wife and high school sweetheart, Judy (Adams) in 2000, and his mother; Esther (Cuccinello) in 2009.
    He is survived by his daughters, Cindy and her husband, Dave Parsons, and Cheryl Caruso; a son, Chris Caruso; his grandchildren, Carolyn and Kevin Joyce, Alex and Alyssa Schmid, and Brittany and Kelsey Caruso; an uncle, John Caruso, and his sisters, Marie Derro and Alma Nichols. He is also survived by many dear and wonderful friends.
