    DALMATIA - William L. Deppen, 79, of Dalmatia -R.D., died early Wednesday at the Harrisburg Hospital. He was a retired farmer.
    Mr. Deppen was a member of the County Line Evangelical United Brethren Church, Dalmatia R.D.
    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Jane Deppen; five daughters, Mrs. Mark Adams, Dalmatia, Mrs. Melvin Troutman, Millersburg, Martha Snyder and Mrs. Ezra Landis, both of Hershey, and Mrs. Stanley Bailey, Millersburg; a son, Charles Deppen, Millersburg R.D; two sisters, John Schegel, Palmyra, and Mrs. Beulah Schaffer, Dauphin; two brothers, George Deppen, Dalmatia R.D., and Charlés Dèppen, Herndon R.D; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m.. at the funeral home, 512 Market St., Millersburg. The Rev. Thomas E. Baker, pastor of the Paxton Bible Church at Dalmatia, R.D., will officiate. Burial will be in the County Line Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.

    DALMATIA - Mrs. Emma J. Deppen, 98, Dalmatia RD, died Sunday in her home.
    Born Nov. 16, 1882, at Red Cross, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Barbara Hoffa Schmeltz.
    Mrs. Deppen was of the Protestant faith.
    She is survived by six children, Mrs. Mark Adams of Dalmatia, Mrs. Ada Troutman and Mrs. Stanley Bailey Sr., both of Millersburg, Mrs. Martha Snyder and Mrs. Ezra Landis, both of Hershey, and Charles of Dalmatia RD; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, by the Rev. J.E. McClain.
    Burial will be in Trinity United Methodist Cemetery, Dalmatia RD. Relatives and friends may call in the funeral home Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
