    Albert O. Confer Jr.
    Albert O. Confer Jr., 25, of 435 N. Allegheny St., Bellefonte, died at his home yesterday at 2:30 p.m. He had been ill for some time.
    Mr. Confer was born in Bellefonte Jan. 9, 1943, a son of Albert and Martha Leather Confer who servive. His wife, the former Sandra Novosel whom he married in 1962, and a daughter Faith Ann, at home, survive. A sister, Lisa Confer, Bellefonte, also survives.
    He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church of Bellefonte.
    The funeral service will be at the Wetzler Funeral Home, Bellefonte, Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ronald Bowersox officiting. Burial will be in the Meyer Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home iThursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

    Peggy Elaine Shaw Novosel, 59, passed away on Saturday, Aug 2, 2003, at the home of her daughter in Lock Haven.
    Born on July 24, 1944, in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Bonnalyn Oberhelme Shaw.
    On July 27, 1961, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Philipsburg, she married Ronald Novosel, who survives in Lock Haven.
    She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.
    She was a Protestant.
    In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters Lisa Kay Novosel Holdsworth and her husband, Tom, of Erie, and Tammy Sue Novosel and Carol Andrus, both of Lock Haven; a sister, Sue Ann Burns and her husband, Jim, of Philipsburg; an uncle, Donald Oberhelme and his wife, Fran, of Lancaster; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
    In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a cousin and several aunts.
    There will be no public visitation.
    A memory gathering will be held at the convenience of the family.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's local “Relay for Life Cancer Walk in her memory.
    Arrangements are under the direction of Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.

    Jeremiah Schroeder — a 35-year-old heroin addict and dealer — has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide for his role in the overdose of a 26-year-old woman while Schroeder was out of custody under a deferred prosecution agreement with Chisholm's office.
    Schroeder is accused of helping obtain a $20 "dub" of heroin and then cooking it and "tying off" Cassandra Lutz at a New Berlin apartment shortly after attending a concert at the Rave on March 6. The next morning, a janitor confronted Schroeder as he was carrying Lutz's lifeless body over his shoulder at the apartment complex.
    Schroeder and two others were arrested shortly after the incident. All were charged with multiple felonies.2
