She attended school in Rapid City and also attended Black Hills Commercial College before going to Washington DC in 1941 with the Treasury Department. She transferred to Chicago IL and returned to Washington DC before moving back to Rapid City in 1943. Charlotte married Donald C Blyler in 1946 which resulted in three children; Donald E Blyler, Ronald L Blyler and Carol Jean Blyler-Johnson. She has one granddaughter and two great grandchildren. She was employed at Rapid City Army Air Base before it became Ellsworth Air Force Base until she retired in 1971. She married William C Sloan in 1970 where he was assigned at Ellsworth Air Force Base until his retirement in 1970 as chief Security Police for twenty seven years; he died in 1997. Charlotte was a member of the Alpha Iota Honorary Sorority; Beta Sigma Phi; Theta Rho and the Rebekah Lodge as a Noble Grand. She served as Association president for the LAPM, Grand Matriarch of LEA and District President from Rapid City for many years. She became a member of the 1st Congregational Church in 1934. Charlotte is preceded in death by her son Ronald; her husband William Sloan of 27 years and her parents, Edwin and Golda Bolm.2,4
