    Marlin L. Hollenbach, 79, of Malta, passed away on May 5, 2017, at his home. He was born in Herndon on July 29, 1937, a son of the late Charles and Nora Hollenbach. Marlin was employed at Wattsontown Brick, and Donco Construction. He was a member of Lower Mahanoy Fire Co., Herndon Fire Co. and Erdman Sportsman's Club.
    Marlin is survived by his wife Vivian Hollenbach, son, David Hollenbach of Herndon; daughter, Dawn Schaffner of Dalmatia; step-daughter Julie Yerger; two grandchildren, Heather Masser of Millersburg, Yvonne Schaffner of Duncannon, one step-grandchild Gabrellie Yerger; four great-grandchildren, Calissa and Caitlyn Bowers, Connor Brown, Ella Masser; three sisters, Shirley Zimmerman of Millersburg, Betty Harris of Halifax, Martha Rebuck of Millersburg. He was preceded in death by two brothers Charles and Delmar Hollenbach.
    Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 11:00 am at Saint Luke's Cemetery in Malta.2

    She was born in Sunbury on August 5, 1939, a daughter of the late Agnes Cecilia (Reidinger) and the late Adam Michael Mechesic.
    Carol worked in various factories in the area and last worked for Dockey Auctioneers.
    She was a member of Zion Stone Valley Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Mandata, Hickory Corners Fire Company Auxiliary and the Stone Valley Ladies Aid. Carol also enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing.
    Carol is survived by her spouse Norwood E. Erdman; daughter, Dawn Schaffner; son, David Hollenbach; sister, Virginia Rhoades; two granddaughters, Heather Masser, Yvonne Schaffner; and three great-grandchildren.
    Private services will be held at a later time.
